porygon dream of mareep details the oh so wonderful pokebots however they do not detail whether they do or do not have tutor points. help? the closest thing to an answer i can find is
page 52 of porygon dream of mareep in the 1.05 book set but that could just be combat and/or skill stats. does it include tutor points as a stat as well? |

No, they wouldn't get tutor points, since you're programming them with everything they know and can do in the first place. |

I'd say it depends on what the specific Pokebot is supposed to do. In general, I'd say no. However, if it is specifically designed to replace a Pokemon in its entirety, and essentially be a mechanical pokemon, I'd say yes, with the condition that this Pokebot essentially behaves as a nullivorous Pokemon of whatever base you chose in every other sense. As far as fluffing it, the AI of a combat machine can be made adaptive and learn so that it might be a more capable combatant able to make its own decisions in a crises. Doing the same for a robotic tool would be unnecessary, expensive, and potentially dangerous if a robotic cup-holder began questioning why it exists. Further, you don't really want a robotic flying shovel devising more efficient and creative ways to be a shovel, you just want it to be a shovel. A robotic tool does exactly what you tell it to when you make it. If everything is going to hell in a breadbasket, you don't want your cutting torch deciding that it has a better chance for survival by escaping through the vents than it does opening the door you ordered it to. In short, I wouldn't make Tutor Points a basic feature of a Pokebot, but I would make them an optional feature of some Pokebots, created specifically to learn and be adaptive as opposed to coming with their knowledge and abilities under the hood. Whether or not such machines actually exist in your setting is another question entirely. Edited by The Sneaky Prinny, Feb 26 2016, 01:15 PM.

Having no tutor points on a pokebot does prevent you from using a lot of other classes with them as you won't be able to use certain crucial class features. I'd say yes so that you can use these classes or at least make it an additional part |

Pokebots aren't meant to completely replace pokemon, that you cannot tutor abilities onto them (they aren't capable of learning anyway) is pretty much intentional. |
