Let's say they reveal 7th gen ![]() What typings would you want for the starters? I really liked 6th gen typings <3 I would like something like: Fire/Dark Water/Fairy Grass/Dragon (Maybe it could evolve at level 40 to make up for the dragon typing) if not dragon I would like Flying

Considering that Dark type is called Evil type in Japan, I doubt we'll see a Dark starter anytime soon. As for Dragon, I doubt it simply because of how powerful it is. Another thing to think about is type advantage. In X and Y, both water/dark were effective against fire/psychic. Which in turn were both effective against grass/fighting. By that logic, lets look at some 3 type groups that are like that: Fairy/Steel/Fighting, Rock/Ground/Ice, Ice/Flying/Fighting, etc. Personally, of those examples above, I think the second would work best. So a Grass/Ice, Fire/Rock, and another Water/Ground. |

well, ORAS technically had a Grass/Dragon starter in the form of Mega Sceptile, and XY's Greninja was Water/Dark, so these are not entirely unheard of. Although they definitely won't have those secondary types from the start, I highly doubt their first form will be anything other than mono grass/water/fire (Bulbasaur is the only starter that doesn't start mono-typed), but when fully evolved I would like a similar typing setup as well. |

Water/Fighting. We're due for Sha Wujing, at least. I'm told we should expect a UK theme, so also tossing out one of the other two will be based on a hunting hound or a horse, and there will be a fox- or rabbit-themed derp. And probably an owl, because Potter. |

If a UK thing is happening, I suspect a doggy sort of Pokémon is liable to be partly Fairy, Ghost, or Dark - British Isles mythology is full of Black Dogs and fairy hounds of varying degrees of malevolence and otherworldliness. Actually, if there's a UK theme, it'd be a prime opportunity for non-cutesy Fairy-types in general, since most of the Fairy-types introduced or retyped in Gen 6 were at least one of cute, pink, or fluffy and frequently all three. |

Mightyena Dark/Fairy? ![]() Anyway, UK would be a cool region to base a Pokémon game on. Mons based on Grims, The Hoodening, Boggarts and although I would like Reynardine Pokémon that would probably be either a Delphox or Ninetales rip-off mon :/ |

UK? I wonder how different it's going to look from Gen 6 (since Kalos was somewhat based around France). I'd be curious to see what they do if they give the flying type to one of the starters. I don't think we've had that yet. I guess if Nintendo is still looking for more fairies to add, I'm going to guess it'll go with the water type. No idea what's going to go with fire, but after Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar, I'd really like it to be something tat's not fighting for once. Also, maybe if they do the neighboring countries around the UK, it'll have a few Irish or Scottish influences? Despite Gyarados (and I guess Lapras) already existing, I can imagine a Nessie-related pokemon. |
