So, overall, I like the playtest packet. There's one specific interaction that makes me scratch my head, and I'm curious about the intent.

So, Unburden has been changed to give -2 Speed CS with an item equipped. Okay, alright, I understand that. But this gets awkward when you take into account Sceptile. Sceptile gets Unburden, Sceptile gets a mega evolution. If you want to Mega Evolve Sceptile, you have to give it a held item. Congrats, your Mega-Sceptile is now constantly at -2 speed if you pick that ability. This heavily incentivizes you to not take Unburden if you ever want to Mega Evolve Sceptile, forcing you to choose between an ability or the possibility of Mega Evolution. Rules as written, that's how the interaction plays out, but that doesn't feel very good for anyone who wants to potentially use a Mega Sceptile and seems like an unintended, not very fun side effect. Is this an issue that may be changed, or is it just going to come down to "Don't take Unburden on Mega Capable pokemon"?

Well, the whole point of Unburden is to reward not having a Held Item, and Mega Stones are Held Items. I don't know what you'd want me to do there, seems pretty clear to me that if you want to use Mega Evos to just go with a different Ability.

EDIT: also, it's not like they'd have fared any better with the old unburden?

Just making sure that was the intent is all. The old Unburden at the very least still gave you normal Sceptile speed, not debuffed it. While I don't agree with the interaction and find it a little bit un-fun, I understand why, so no issues here!

Are there any plans to change Zen Mode? I'm probably alone in saying so, but it seems to me that it compares unfavorably to Inner Focus, especially with you changing how Flinching works in .06.

Effect: The default state of the user’s Speed is +2 Combat
Stages.
While holding a Held Item, the user’s Speed is
lowered by 2 Combat Stages.

But the new one leaves it at net +0 while holding a held item too. +2 default, -2 if holding item, = 0 if holding item.

Ah, that was what made it unclear. This actually makes it a slight buff then! I was still thinking of the old one, which only boosted and didn't set it at default, thank you for the clarification!

Aroma Veil is identical to how it is in 1.05
As is Damp

Lunchbox still refers to Digestion buff, which I think is being changed to Food

also <3 no guard changes

I forgot to include the new versions for Aroma Veil and Damp, as well as Abominable >>

Okay I am posting the ~permanent until next update~ version in 45 mins, so if there's anything else speak now or hold you peace for a little while at least.
