So... unlike the last post I made for the alpha. This is the direction I'm taking the legendary encounter for Moltres whenever the decide to fight it. I geared it much much higher for a party size of 5 with 3 level 50 plus pokemon. Tell me what you guys think. Mega Moltres Base Stats: HP total: 1500 Attack: 60 Defense: 50 Special Attack: 60 Special Defense: 50 Speed: 45,30,15,0 Ability: Adaptability Static Effect: Increase the Damage of all Moves with which the user shares an Elemental Type by +1 Damage Base. Ability: Phoenix's Reprieve Static Effect: Upon Fainting the user turns into ash. Underneath that ash is an egg with stats 300hp 0atk 50def 0sp atk 50sp def 0speed. The phoenix egg is immune to status affliction's. The phoenix's catch rate is considered to be at 1hp. During phoenix's reprieve the user does not gain injuries. After 2 rounds it is revived with half of it's max hp and loses 5 combat stat levels. If the egg is destroyed moltres is defeated. Ability: Eternal Flame Static Effect: The flames radiate around the user. The intense heat pulls the air around it. At the end of every round every hostile creature in a burst 1 around the user is burnt and loses a tick of HP. If it is a fire type that is around the user it instead takes a tick of HP. Ability: Exhausting Fire Static Effect: Due to the intense heat of moltres all hostile enemies in a burst 5's moves now have the exhaust keyword attatched to them until they move out of range. Move: Flare Blitz Type: Fire Frequency: Every Other Round AC: 2 Damage Base 12: 3d12+10 / 30 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target, Dash, Recoil 1/3 Effect: Flare Blitz Burns the target on 19+. Move: Eruption Type: Fire Frequency: Daily AC: 4 Damage Base 15: 4d10+20 / 45 Class: Special Range: Burst 1* Effect: For each 10% of Hit Points the user is missing, Eruption’s Damage Base is reduced by 1. Eruption creates a 1 meter burst, but also affects an area 10 meters tall straight up. Move: Whisper of the fire phoenix Type: Fire Frequency: Daily AC: Damage Base: Class: Status Range: Burst 5 Effect: All hostile targets feel their souls burning into oblivion. Roll a DC15 Focus check. On a Fail that hostile target in that range takes 5 injuries. Moltres' Fury: Type: Fire, Flying Frequency: Every Other Round AC: 6 Damage Base: 5 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target, Five-Strike Effect: None Move: Drill Peck Type: Flying Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 Damage Base 8: 2d8+10 / 19 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target, Dash Effect: None Contest Type: Cool Contest Effect: Steady Performance THIS IS A SOLO ENCOUNTER WITH NO ADDITIONAL MOBS Edited by Articuno is a beast, Feb 19 2016, 12:24 PM.

This is so hilariously overkill, though the party you described should be able to beat it. I love it to pieces; though I think the only real points of criticism I could make is the name of Exhausting Fire. Maybe something like Heat Stroke/Heat Exhaustion? Also, I'd keep Moltres' Fury to 1 type, but do the Flying Press thing where it can do damage as the other (Which still gives it STAB). If you want to make their lives further hell, I'd recommend adding a sub-effect to Eternal Flame that negates (evaporates) Ranged Water Attacks in Burst 2 unless they go over some arbitrary DB, like 11 or something. No putting out those fires unless you got a hell of a lot of water to back it up. |
