Hey, new here. Just downloaded and read through the core book and some of the other packaged documents. Finally got around to looking at the pokedex, and I am a bit confused. Is there any reason it is such a messy order? I noticed that all the legendaries are at the end of the thing, which makes sense, and then the start is the game starters, the bugs and birds and rats, but from then on it seems like the order doesn't make any sense. Is there any way to sort the entries alphabetically, or by generation or type or something? |

Pokémon are grouped by evolution families, sorted in the following order: First are starters, sorted by type. Then are pokémon with 3 stages, again sorted by type. Next are pokémon with 2 stages, still sorted by type. After that are pokémon with only 1 stage, sorted by type. Ditto and Unown come at the end of that section instead of with pokémon of their type because they are a bit different from normal. Eevee and it's evolutions come after those, due to the large number of forms. Then are the fossil pokémon, for the most part, in their original order, save Aerodactyl at the end because it's the only one that doesn't evolve. And after the fossils come the pseudo-legendaries, saved for last because of their rarity. And finally legendary pokémon at the very end. Short of editing the PDF, there is no way to change the order. |

The real reason the Pokedex is in that order is that 1) for some reason, Stark and I decided that was roughly the order we were going to use for the PTA pokedex ages ago 2) It would take waaaaay too much time that could be more productively spent to change it and let's get real everyone CTRL+F's their way through the Pokedex anyway, and if you want to be able to sort Pokemon in other ways there's better ways than through a pdf. Actually I used Acrobat and bookmarked mine up by region and then type. Might change now that I know the order to use. Especially as I like to bookmark each form so I can refer to it quickly in mid-game |

Could we get an edit in the future with an index in the back for page numbers of pokemon listed alphabetically by name? It would be helpful if they were also links. Basically the Contents page but comprehensive and alphabetically sorted. After the Gen 1 pokemon I don't always remember what pokemon are one, two, or 3 stage evolutions (especially since some stages have been added as time progresses) and some pokemon I am just really not familiar with, so if I want to check all the pokemon I can populate in this Biome for some quick statting I have to tab out to Bulbapedia for a bunch of them in order to figure out where they fit in the organization, so I can skim to the right spot(ish) in the contents page, so I can swipe around a bunch to find them. |

It's like what what Doxy said, use the 'find' function of your reader to look for Pokemon. Say you're looking for Pokemon that live in the "Forest" biodome, search for "Forest" and start advancing through the search results. Personally, I think tabbing to www.serebii.net is the best way to find Pokemon. Alt+tab, double click name, Ctrl+c, Alt+tab, Ctrl+f, Ctrl+v, enter. |
