I just found that Coro Coro magazine has released an image for a new Pokemon in an upcoming movie. It is called Magiana and is supposed to make an appearance along side Volcanion.

Information released so far says that it is a mechanical wonder created by humans 500 years ago from ancient, technologically-advanced civilization. Volcanion is the only one who knows Magiana's secret and is searching for it. There is a good chance that this will become a new Legendary.

It's typing has not been revealed so far, but it obviously is, or partly, Steel. It's design has a Pokeball-like dress a gear shaped head piece, which may be indicative of some royal status. Appearance-wise, it looks very similar to Diancie. I will include a piece of fan art with them together in the spoiler below to help show the resemblance.

I am very interested in how this new Pokemon develops and is integrated.

Some Connection with Klingklang was my first thought. Similar to Diancie and Carbink.

That gear head-piece is similar to Klink, but the design also makes me think that Voltorb or Magnemite may be related. The fact that there is an ancient, advanced civilization would allow for some artificial Pokemon to be present for a significantly earlier time period.

I'm voting for steel/fairy typing over here, and it's kinda intresting that Porygon was not the world's first man made mon.

I personally hope it isn't Steel/Fairy. I mean, just having Klefki and Mega Mawhile present is enough to drive the point that Steel/Fairy types are very powerful. A legendary Pokemon does not need that.

On the point of man made Pokemon, there have been a couple already: Golurk and Claydol are both Pokemon created by ancient man, with the potential that Bronzong was as well. Banette is created by a doll being forgotten by a child, which could have been at any point in history. Finally, Cofagrigus is created after the death of ancient person.

Strange. I wonder if they'll try to make Diancie and Magiana a duo, sort of like how they added Giratina to Dialga and Palkia to make the creation trio.

I'm also leaning towards steel, but could it maybe be rock? It sort of has a polished stone look.

According to the translated scans, Magiana is directly linked to Volcanion in some way. "Volcanion knows her secret" or something like that.
