There was a flash of the other world. For a second Izaya saw a flash of bright red eyes. Then the portal opened in the air. |

Izaya looked at Tsuru "I know you plan on leaving, this portal should take you to the mainland, Olivine City to be exact. That way you don't have to ride back on the Beasts or ask the League for transport" |

Tsuru had been watching the changing expressions on Izaya's face curiously, and was even more surprised when he suddenly tore open a portal in the air between them. "I still need to collect my things...but I appreciate the offer. That would put me much closer to Plum City. ...Do you know how long this portal of yours will remain open?" |

"I'm not exactly sure, this is the first time I've done it myself actually. But I'm sure it should last at least a few minutes" Izaya says, shrugging his shoulders |

"Well then, I suppose I should hurry," Tsuru said. "Where exactly did Yami leave my things?" |

Entei handed it all over, when he picked up is a mystery. |

Tsuru cocked an eyebrow at Entei, but took his weapons, seed pouches, powder bags, and the like. "My thanks...," he said, beckoning for Maigo to follow him. Then he returned to the portal. "Well...I suppose this is farewell, for now," he said, looking at the tear in the air. "Unown Gates, Teleportation, Lightning from the Heavens, Legendary Beasts," he muttered to himself, shaking his head. "What ever happened to simple walking? One foot in front of the other; was it truly so terrible?," he asked with a grin. "Maigo, Izaya...until we meet again, farewell. Give my regards to Ume when next you see her," he said. He released Yoko at his side. "I am sorry to have kept you in there for so long, my friend...it was not entirely my choice," he explained to the fox. "But now it is time to go. Say your goodbyes, and then we must be off. We will not see Izaya or Maigo for some time, I imagine." |

No sooner had Tsuru and Yoko passed through the portal did a massive blur of fire, fur and steel erupt from the rift, barreling straight toward Izaya at a full gallop. "Whooah, Hogun!," a deep, boistrous voice cried out. The mass of silvered-steel began to skid to a halt, nearly reaching Izaya before rearing up on its hind legs and letting out a bestial roar to the heavens that shattered the quiet night. The beast looked as if it might topple over backwards, but its rider was an expert, leaning just-so that the beast came crashing back forward, just shy of collapsing into Izaya. Now that this figure had stopped moving, it was easier to take in his shape and features. The figure was actually two, a beast and a rider. The beast, which stood on all fours at the height of a man stared straight ahead at Izaya. It's great, orange eyes firmly fixed upon him, assessing him, carefully analyzing this creature that had stood in its path. The beast's breath came in great huffs, the warm blasts washing over Izaya's face. The beast wore a coat of heavy metal plate armor of silvered-steel, polished to such an impossible sheen that it seemed to catch the slightest star and moonlight above and reflect it nearly twice as bright, so that it seemed to glow. The armor featured ornate decorations here and there, and gilted edgework, as well as decorative runs of shimmering blue cloth. Beneath the protective plates could be seen fur, orange and black striped, with a cream underbelly, mane, and a long tail, nearly half the length of his body. The figure atop this great armored warhound was no less impressive. It was a massive figure, clearly in the shape of a man, that rivaled his steed in size. He wore armor of the same silvered steel and just as ornate, covering him from head to toe, and a cape of shimmering deep blue silk with a black inlay, clasped about his neck, clearly more decorative than for any functional use. Across his back was slung a great shield which proudly bore a foreign sigil, and upon his breastplate was emblazoned the elemental rune for 'Steel'. At his waist appeared to be a sheathed blade, far larger than a dagger, yet its shape was strange. It did not bear the curve of more traditional blades, but appeared as straight as an arrow, judging by the sheath. The sheath itself was of fine leather, studded with deep blue sapphires, with one such gem studding the pommel of the blade's hilt. The man wore a tall helmet which fully concealed the greater part of his face, save for his eyes, mouth, and chin. From beneath his helm could be seen what looked to be golden locks of hair that fell just to his shoulders, and his eyes were a deep blue. This massive man patted the side of his steed's neck, the clang of metal and the jostling of plates on leather easy to hear. "Easy, Hogun," he said as he pat the beast, before dismounting in one smooth motion. Standing beside his beast did little to minimize this man's stature. He stood easily over six foot in height, with a powerful, imposing build. He stepped forward, closer to Izaya, with great, plodding steps. His cloak attempted to billow behind him, but was foiled by his shield, for the most part. He looked down on Izaya with discerning eyes for a moment. Their eyes met briefly, and Izaya could see a spark of recognition light in his face. The man's posture instantly relaxed and a great smile grew across his face. "Cousin! Ha-ha!," he bellowed joyously, embracing Izaya in a great bear hug that felt as if he was being crushed within a vice. "I hardly recognized you, so adorned! Tell me, what has driven you from the tender embrace of those women you so fancy, hmm? I would not expect to find you so far from the feasting halls!," he asked boistrously, releasing Izaya from his smothering grip and clapping two heavy hands on his shoulders. No sooner had he been released from his embrace did the hound start licking Izaya's face unrelentingly. "Ah, and it seems Hogun is happy to see you as well! Ha-ha! And who is this travelling companion of yours?," he asked, turning to look at Maigo. Before Izaya had a chance to answer, though, the loud man was speaking again. "Aaah-ha, I would know that face anywhere!," he said, wagging a finger at Maigo. "Sir Maigo, Knight of the Scales! Or else I am a Tauros' backside!," he cheered, closing on Maigo, arms wide to embrace him in a mammoth hug of his own. "Why the cold stare, sir? Surely you are not still sore from the last time at the lists! Ah, ha-ha!," he bellowed as he embraced Maigo with a vice-like grip. He released Maigo, clapping him on the back one last time. The blow would've been enough to topple any normal man, but it was clearly meant to be playful. "Tell me, what has you two rascals out here, hmm?," he asked, positively beaming at Maigo. As the hulking man dropped him, Izaya looked on with shock "Cousin?.....Who exactly are you?" "Also, why...did I mess up somewhere with the portal? Is that how you came here?" At that moment, Izaya was overwhelmed by the 'attack' of the beast, eventually relenting and scratching it behind the ears while waiting for an answer Edited by Breakthelevee, Feb 10 2016, 01:02 PM.
