It's not a bad combo (being able to disengage out of melee as a swift action, then shift away so you can use your long range weapons without provoking an AoO is sexy), it's just that it takes up 2 class slots that don't give you versatility, solid moves or Pokemon buffs. The build just does one thing really well. Also you basically want to add in another class to the combo that adds in weapon moves to make the most of the other abilities. Given that the OP's GM isn't down with magic classes, that blocks out the elemental classes and Ninja, but that isn't relevant outside of this thread. |

People give Rogue a bit of crap, but I found it can work surprisingly well with the Detective mindset if you can find yourself some small arms. |
