The path through the - admittedly quite light - forest is either extremely well-maintained or extremely new. In places, there are what appear to be Pokemon trails that have forged paths into the forested area. A few Pokemon call in the distance, though none are immediately visible. OOC

Isabella's heart is still pounding. After all, it's not every day a legendary Pokémon comes almost close enough to touch. I wish I had a camera, but it'd probably spook him. Or make him angry. Maybe Abbey can draw him. She's only got so much in the way of medicine left after the nasty battles yesterday, but she shifts her bag on her shoulders anyway. She recalls her Pokémon, one-two-three - she can move faster if she doesn't have to keep track of them - and looks around at the others. "Ready when you guys are." They can probably come back for their tents - if they need medical supplies, it sounds pretty urgent. |

Sibyl nods quickly, following Isabella in recalling her Pokemon and nipping back to grab her bag for the medical supplies. She rushes back, giving a terse, "Okay. Ready, lets go," back to Isabella. |

Oscar follows, recalling Ivy but keeping Harria out. "Harria," he says as he bends down to pack up what medical supplies he has, "we may need some aerial scouting done once we get close. Would you be amenable to that?" |

Jeremy snaps out of his fear-induced statue state, hesitates for a moment, then nods at the large creature as he runs back to grab his bag. While there, he recalls both his Pokémon into their balls. "I'll get you out as soon as it's necessary, but let's not have you at risk until then." He thinks as he sprints back to the others. |

Harria, much like the other swiftly-returned Pokemon, is clearly not entirely comfortable with Entei's presence close by, but gives a squawk and a nod at Oscar's request "Come," Entei instructs, bounding away into the bushes. Obviously he doesn't view such mundanities as packing up tents to be important, because he certainly doesn't give you any time to do so. Entei moves through the forest...strangely, for want of a better word. For all his great size, he seems to pass through the bushes and trees without being at all hindered by them - and not by sheer brute force, either. When you look out of the corner of your eye, you might almost think that they were moving out of the way for him. Whatever the effect, though, you don't get the same benefit, and while Entei's proximity is clearly keeping the wild Pokemon away, that doesn't change the fact that the hike is not easy. OOC

So, as it turns out, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. All the willpower and sharp tongue in the world doesn't help the fact that, well... Isabella hasn't got a whole lot of physical endurance, and not much idea how to pace herself. And keeping up with one of the Pokémon who are legendary for racing around the world, through a thick and rather wet forest, is not a task for the faint of heart. So while she starts out in the lead, she winds up beginning to drop behind quickly, red-faced and breathing hard. Mechanics

OOC Isabella isn't the only one to feel the harsh pace Entei is setting out. Though not to the same extent as the Kalosian, Jeremy and Sibyl find the going hard as well. Entei - somewhat reluctantly, you get the impression - slows his pace down further as the three of you begin to tire. Even with the slower pace, though, Isabella is virtually shattered by the time Entei stops, and the rest of you aren't in much better shape. "We are here," the legendary Pokemon growls, indicating a clearing a short distance ahead. In the clearing, it immediately becomes obvious what Entei meant by 'hunted.' A Luxray is lying in a rather makeshift den hollowed out of a bush, with a very young Shinx nuzzling against its head. Even with your lack of medical training, you can see that it's injured - badly. The Luxray doesn't move at first, but it stirs as you approach and struggles to its feet, growling aggressively if weakly, limping forwards and trying to shoo its cub behind it. The Shinx, clearly having none of it, gives off a little growl of its own, which sounds closer to a mew. "She had three other cubs," Entei growls softly from behind you. "Now they are likely being sold to rich tourists who have no idea where they came from. Be gentle. Neither of them have much trust for humans now and anything I do would only hurt her further." |

Sibyl can only wonder in amazement at the massive beast's speed through the forest. So this is the legendary's power... she thinks. Unfortunately this doesn't really help with keeping up with him, leaving her with a stitch as she enters the clearing. Dammit, should have done more exercise back home..., she thinks, grumbling quietly to herself. Her self-pitying is quickly set aside however as she sees the hurt Pokemon. Sibyl tuts disapprovingly at the Entei's explanation of the situation: what a terrible thing to do. She starts by squatting down to face the Luxray and the cubs, saying calmly as possible, "Hey there - We're here to help," with what she hopes is a friendly smile. She makes a nod with her head to the rest of the group, including them in her introduction. Charm if needed

Oscar frowns at Entei's mention of the captured cubs. He looks to Harria. "Could you do a quick aerial sweep of the area? Look for any evidence of where the poachers went - campsites, trails, that sort of thing. It's unlikely we'll be able to catch them but damned if I'm not going to try." He says, putting some bluster into his speech tob hide how tired he is from the trek. He turns to the Luxray and, after a moment's thought, lets out Ivy. "We have no desire to hurt you," he says, slowly and carefully, squatting down but keeping his distance so as not to crowd her, "as you can see, we do not hurt pokemon. We wish to help you." He takes out a potion, holding it between thumb and forefinger, showing it so it doesn't look like he's going to use it yet. "This will help - it will heal you. I don't know if you can understand me, but if you want, I will use one on myself to show that it will do no harm." In truth, he has no idea if saying this is a good idea, but he's doing his best. Edit: OOC

Despite feeling a little bit like she's going to throw up, Isabella's eyes widen as she gets a good look at the injured Pokémon, and she mutters something under her breath that might have to do with inflicting a disturbing level of violence on the people responsible. Her pace is unsteady, but she makes her way forward to kneel down along with Sybil and Oscar. She privately hopes her obvious discomfort doesn't make her look more like an easy meal than somebody here to help. She tries to project calming vibes, as much as she can, keeping her voice low and soothing. "It's okay... you're safe now. The stuff Oscar's got can fix you up, and I've got some more if you need it." Not much, granted, but if worst comes to worst she might just end up staying out of battles until they can get to town. Worth it to try and help the poor Luxray. Mechanics
