The path through the - admittedly quite light - forest is either extremely well-maintained or extremely new. In places, there are what appear to be Pokemon trails that have forged paths into the forested area. A few Pokemon call in the distance, though none are immediately visible.

"We should try and contact the Professor." Jeremy said, shaking slightly from the adrenaline of what he had just done. " just did. "Or that assistant dude. But it's late now, and I'm tired as hell from this really, uh, eventful day we had. So let's do it first thing in the morning. Anyway, if those guys are threatenin' all of us new trainers, I'm sure people will hear about it eventually. Hell, maybe they're counting on it."

Oscar nods. "Indeed. Although..." he pauses, "Aegis. Interesting name. I've no idea if they intend a mythological analogue or simply mean it as "protection". Either way, I wonder just what they are attempting to protect." He thinks for a moment before shaking off the question. "Well, I'm sure we can find out more when we next reach civilization. For the moment, let's simply rest and consider."

As he says this, he sits down and releases his two pokemon.

Sibyl relaxes a little after getting all riled up, now realising that this may not be quite the attention you'd want from this organisation - and now the excitement was over, she felt pretty damn tired. "Yeah, they can wait until later. It has been a long day," she agrees with Jeremy as she stifles a yawn. She nods to acknowledge Oscar's musings about Aegis, but she wasn't really paying attention to it at all, simply making a "mm-hm" as she goes back to her bag on the ground, taking out and setting up her camp supplies.

The evening goes by without any further incident. No more Trainers arrive from Tabi Port, so either all the other groups collapsed before getting anywhere or have decided to spend time, as Douglas' group did, looking around for Pokemon closer to the port.

The next morning brings with it a rather unpleasant light drizzle that causes most of the Pokemon not in their Pokeballs to try to hide in your tents, making the business of taking them down a little more convluted than normal.

Before going to sleep, Oscar and Ivy spend quite some time with Harria, tending to and bandaging her bruises and getting to know her as much as possible.

In the morning, Oscar spends an hour training with them. He focuses on Harria's speed and agility and getting her to hit at exactly the right moment to exploit an opponent's weaknesses or mistakes, while with Ivy, he focuses on her ranged capabilities and ability to take return fire. He also gets across the battling style he encourages - focused, precise and without restraint. He also apologizes for having to train in the drizzle, but stands outside, as he'd not ask them to do so if he wasn't willing get wet himself.

When Isabella wakes up, she checks the bandage she put on Prickles to make sure his injuries have fully healed up. She smiles as she sees they have... though the smile doesn't last long when she sees Chouette is still in obvious pain. She smooths the Hoothoot's feathers out gently. "Pushed you too hard yesterday, huh? My fault, sorry. We'll have to play it safe with you today, let the others take on the big fights if we get any."

She takes them all out training once she's checked up on them. Prickles and Chouette get extra attention, Chouette to make up for a day kept out of the roughest fighting and Prickles because she can tell he's lagging behind in battling experience a little, even if he was clearly boss of his little group back in the forest. She makes sure they all focus on evasion and shaking off trouble; after yesterday, she finds herself wanting to ensure her poor Pokémon take fewer hits.

While she watches Chouette and Hirondel flutter in the sky, she gets a flash of something. A few moments watching the pattern they fly in, and then the others might see her wander off a little way to push through the undergrowth, searching for the item she got a hint was there. She has a feeling it might be important... And who knows? Prickles might find something, too.

Jeremy stumbles out of his tent later than the others, and takes the longest to get ready. Despite the drizzle he lazily dismantles his part of the campsite, attempting fruitlessly to get Ellis and Almond (who had spent the night enveloped in Jeremy's arms like a stiff pillow) to help him.

After breakfast, he spends some time running Ellis through some drills he remembered doing as a grunt. "Sorry about making you do this in the rain, Ellis. But we gotta be prepared. I'll buy you a treat when we get to the next town."

Almond is left mostly to observe due to not being in top shape after yesterday, and also due to his lack of any limbs. "I don't really know how much use you'll be in battle, aside from throwing you at a fool's head." Jeremy thinks as he glances over to the Seedot. "But you're a member of this team anyhow, so I'll figure something out later." Still, despite Almond's obvious drawbacks, Jeremy's able to teach the smaller Pokémon a thing or two about withstanding attacks.

Sibyl's up reasonably early: she spends a bit of time preparing some intricate-looking seals in her tent, scribbling down inscriptions on pieces of paper she'd fortunately thought to pack. It was a little time filler and for whatever reason was quite calming to do. Besides, they brought good luck and warded off evil spirits - somehow. She wakes up Miri and Paddy a little bit later: they're looking quite a bit better now. She moves the Pokemon out in the drizzle to join everyone for breakfast, muttering to them, "Its just rain, look, I'm out here just fine. Don't plants like rain anyway?"

After the morning routine, Sibyl joins the rest of the group in training their Pokemon. She teaches Miri an interesting technique she'd seen the trainers back in Ecruteak use with Ghosts, plus further general drills with both her Pokemon gleaned from books read and remembered from back home. She also copies some exercises from the others too - mimicry is the best form of flattery. She doesn't even try to hide her side glances around at her companions.

As the training goes on, she sees Prickles and Isabella start digging around in the undergrowth, and she can't resist making a dig. All in good fun, of course. "We foraging now or what, Iz?", creating yet another nickname.

Prickles starts snuffling around in the undergrowth as Isabella leaves, and, after a moment, emerges with a small blue-leaved plant clutched in his jaws, a solitary, almost skin-coloured berry dangling from a branch.

As Isabella moves further afield, though, she sees something glinting in the rain. Examining it a little closer, it looks like a TM! As she bends down to pick it up, though...she gets the distinct feeling that she's being watched.

Isabella ignores Sibyl's teasing for the moment, intent on the search for whatever her sudden flash of insight showed her. "Oh, wow." She picks the TM up with wide eyes. How did one of these end up out here? Chalk one up to amazing second sight! She'd thought she'd seen something really helpful, but she didn't expect anything like this.

She glances back over her shoulder to see that Prickles has found something neat as well. She doesn't know how rare Nanab Berries are around here, but it's a nice find anyway, especially once they get somewhere they can make Poffins. (Isabella's folks didn't give her nearly enough cash to buy one of the portable machines, nor is she terribly inclined to haul one around anyway.) "Good nose there, Prickles! That should come in... handy..."

She doesn't actually need clairvoyance to get the prickle down the back of her neck that tells her she's being watched - and whatever it is, it's so big she can practically feel its presence even from here. She turns around very slowly, and finds herself following the vague outline up... and up... and up. Isabella's interest was always in other clairvoyants, but a fair few of those came out of Ecruteak City and she occasionally found herself diverted into the history and legends of the place. Her mind flashes on an illustration in one of the books, and she mutters something very impolite indeed. Surely it couldn't be...
