Tabi Port; The beginning of a grand adventure...

Tabi Port has obviously modernised recently. Small cottages and equally-small shops are dwarfed by the new constructions; the Tabi Hotel, and the nearby Pokemon Centre.

Occupying what clearly is usually the village green is a large marquee, a large banner attached to the top reading 'Honi's First League Trainers, departing at 10am!' A big, bulky man stands outside the entrance to the marquee, checking IDs and only permitting the prospective trainers in; kids of various ages are emerging from the hotel at irregular intervals and being allowed in, often watched by tearful friends and family.

The mood is overall quite festive, with all manner of souvenirs being hawked by the entrepenurial villagers. It is now 9:50, and the last boat expected to arrive has just pulled into the docks, bringing with it the last few soon-to-be Trainers, who are now disembarking onto dry land.

You are all amongst these Trainers. What do you do now?

Abbey isn't sure whether to smile or frown at the loss of Jeremy's Houndour in the fight. On one hand, it gives up a clear type advantage against both of the remaining Pokémon. On the other, however, it was quite indicative of the kind of person that Jeremy is that he chose to pull out than keep fighting by pushing his Pokémon beyond what it could handle. It makes her a little less worried about travelling with him.

...A little. He is still a boy after all. It's going to take some getting used to.

Clearing her head of the stray thoughts by shaking her head, she glances between the two remaining opponents. The only one with a clear type advantage anymore was Sibyl's Miriam, but it was a double-edged sword when it came to the Litwick. That means she needs to focus on that one now. "Okay, Rana. We're going for the Litwick now. You've done great so far, so let's keep going!"

"Hmph," Douglas mutters. "If you hadn't backed down like a coward you might see just what Gabriel is capable of. Gabriel! Get revenge on that Misdreavus!" The Litwick floated away from Chouette, and its flame flared up again, swirling out like a noose to wrap around Miriam.

The Abra, meanwhile, vanished with another fwip! and reappeared by Rana, who would be the next to recieve a telekinetic slap.

Sibyl just shakes her head at Douglas taunting Jeremy's withdrawal. "Make sure you're not too distracted yeah?", she says dryly. She thinks that the Houndour could still have contributed a bit more, but that was Jeremy's decision - and it wasn't one she completely disagreed with.

Later, Sibyl flinches back after seeing Miriam caught in the noose of fire, seeming at first surprised, but is then angry at the originating Litwick, shouting: "Curse you Gabriel!", using the Litwick's nickname like an insult, "Miri, make sure that NEVER happens again! Seal that move!", pointing insistently at the Litwick, jumping up and down in place a few times, getting rather animated in her rage.

The Litwick rocks back at the blow, seeming a little dazed for a few moments before recovering itself and giving an angry look to its fellow Ghost-type.

Isabella winces in sympathy as Chouette runs afoul of Gabriel's flames. Losing Ellis in the fight is going to hurt, too, but she can't blame Jeremy for being concerned about his Pokémon. Besides, they're still in decent shape to keep going.

"Hey, andouille, eyes front! Wouldn't want you to miss my next trick!" she calls across to Douglas. Because Hoothoot have a secret weapon against ghosts. "Chouette, get a bead on the candle - use your Foresight! Now Tackle him!"

The Litwick wobbles through the air with the force of the blow, though it doesn't seem all that hurt by it. "Congratulations," Douglas drawls sarcastically, though he seems slightly less confident than previously. "You managed to hit my Pokemon. Well done."

Abbey winces as Rana is hit by the psychic attack. She won't be able to take many more of those, but they still have one safety net at least. "It'll be alright Rana. Don't lose focus! The sooner we finish this, the sooner we can all go to the Pokémon center and get everyone patched up! Just keep going like we have been!"

Rana's psychic attack continues to be somewhat more effective, leaving the Litwick wobbling around for a few moments before recovering. "Keep fighting, Gabriel!" Douglas virtually screams, as the Litwick focuses on Rana and spits a ball of multicoloured light at her.

The Abra, meanwhile, teleports closer to Chouette...and promptly goes back to sleep. It's a hard life, being an Abra. "Oh, Whisper!" its Trainer groans.

Sibyl looks focused on Miriam, muttering, “Come on Miri, push on: you can take that candle down…” She wants to win badly, but is a bit worried about how beaten around Miriam is getting. She continues her pattern of nervous habit, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

Miriam's blow is sufficient to finally knock the Litwick out of the air, much to Douglas' frustration. "Stupid breeder not breeding a decent Pokemon..." he mutters angrily to himself, tugging his second Pokeball from his belt.
