Can you use some of Tumbler's moves and features while being mounted?

Since mounting is a standard action and Rider makes being mounted pretty important, while being mounted means you can use the mounts speeds instead of my own... (The rulebook specifically says 'Can', not 'Must')

RAW this seems to indicate that I could still use Bounce and Splash to jump for us using my own jumping power without having to dismount.

Is that for some reason unreasonable? I am still new to this system.

The concept was someone who rides a Tyrantrum with a special saddle with lots of hand holds and foot holds, acrobatically leaving the saddle proper and flexing / flipping to tag people with lightning kicks as Tyrantrum rushes by.

This is the sort of question that should go in the General Q&A thread.

To actually answer your question, strictly by RAW you are correct, and you could use those moves using your own capabilities, however, as a GM I personally would not allow you to use your own movement capabilities while mounted. I would, however, still allow you to make use of those moves using your mount's capabilities (and giving it the associated bonuses).

Thank you!

I actually wasnt sure if this was out-there enough to need its own thread. Last time I asked a rules-unclear question in the Q/A thread it ended up never getting answered (and is still pending one).
