How signifigant are weaknesses in PTU?

Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are literally my favorite pokemon of all time, for personal reasons. But with that said I have to admit - their six weaknesses have me afraid of playing with one for fear of it being repeatedly shut down to the point of utter mediocrity.

Are six weaknesses as big of a deal as in the games? This question also pertains to a bunch of other ones I like, but Tyrantrum is the big one that I wanted to know about for.

Thanks all.

PTU's latest version has reduced the effectiveness of super-effective damage to 1.5x (for single weaknesses) and 2x (for double weaknesses), so it's far less significant. In addition, a tanky pokémon can easily ignore a lot of attacks, even if it does hit a double weakness, because defense is applied before the weakness/resistance multiplier. Your Tyrantrum in PTU would probably be just fine as long as the GM isn't going out of their way to counter it.

In my experience, a pokémon like Tyrantrum has more to worry about from it's low SDEF stat than it's type interactions, but that's easily fixed if you want it to be a tanky dinosaur.

The beauty of this game is that you can really learn how to play against those weaknesses. You have so many options available to you, such as the Duelist's Type Methodology, which reduces the effectiveness of a super effective move by one step. The Rock Type Ace has the feature Tough as Schist, which grants bonus damage reduction, would pair perfectly with Tyrantrum. And there are plenty of other ways to mitigate those weaknesses, and accentuate your strengths.

Even infamously weakness prone Aurorous works pretty well in PTU thanks to both the aforementioned weakness reduction and the fact that Ice Aces have a feat reduces damage from all of Ice's weaknesses.
