So with certain capabilities like Zapper or Guster, which allow you to replace a struggle attack's properties to that type and gives you the option of using special attack in place of attack, would this apply to attacking with weapons and using weapon moves as well or do you simply use Physical Attack for that?

I don't believe they would work together, as Weapon Moves are technically Moves and not Struggle Attacks.

Strictly by RAW, Zapper, Guster, etc. would apply to using Struggle modified by a weapon, but not weapon moves. Nothing says that using a weapon prevents you from using one of these capabilities, so as long as the attack is still Struggle, it should work. However, Weapon Moves are moves, not struggle attacks.

All modifications that a Weapon makes to Struggle Attacks also apply to the Moves they grant and to Moves granted by Features with the [Weapon] tag.

This line almost threw me off because I just woke up, since it says modifications to Struggle also affect Weapon Moves, however, it explicitly states that modifications made by the weapon apply to weapon moves, not modifications in general. So, if the GM lets you have a weapon that grants one of those capabilities, then RAW says that it would work on weapon moves, but not if you have it because you're an elementalist or a pokémon.

Alright, thank you for the responses. I wasn't entirely sure but this helps out a lot and also gives me a few ideas on how to go about things.
