So you don't add STAB to the critical hit damage? For example, an Axew using Dual Chop and getting a crit, it would add another DB 5 damage, rather than DB 7? Is that how crits work in general, you add the unmodified damage die roll? Have I been doing it wrong by adding the STAB bonus in there each time? |

Normally, STAB is included in critical hit damage. If a DB4 attack you have STAB with gets a critical hit, the damage goes from 1d8+6 (base DB4) to 2d6+8 (DB6, from STAB), and then in the end you roll 4d6+16 (doubled for the critical hit) or 6d6+24 if you have Sniper (tripled for critical hit). Specifically for double strike moves, I am unsure, though I BELIEVE STAB is intended to be included in the additional damage, so the Axew in your example would add DB7 for a crit. |
