So I'm making a normal type team and on pokemon I plan on using is Slaking. I plan on having it hold a Toxic Orb and have PP Up'd Facade. One of my friends said that all it would take is using Toxic, but I said he's already poisoned so how could he be deadly poisoned. Could somebody clarify this? Can a poisoned pokemon be deadly poisoned?

Poisoned and Badly Poisoned are listed as the same status affliction in the rules so you cannot suffer from both any more than you could suffer from two cases of being Burned.
Also, I don't know if you realize this or not but your Slaking doesn't have to keep holding the Toxic Orb - he could simply hold it to get the status affliction than switch to holding something else that is more useful.

Yeah I know that it can swap it for something more useful, but I plan on giving it rest so it would need to continuously hold it to get back the poisoned affliction for DB 16 Facade.

Personally I would rule that Badly Poisoned will overwrite Regular Poisoned if you use a move which applies it to a Poisoned target. as it would be silly to become immune just because you have a weaker status effect.
That said, this isn't written explicitly anywhere in the rules.

I'd rule it like this too.

I think this has been mentioned before, and yeah we'll try to include it in the next update.
