So I have a Game of Throhs question.

Hydro Jet
[+Speed]
Prerequisites: Call The Current Rank 1
1 AP – Free Action
Trigger: You use a damaging single target Water-Type
Move
Effect: Hydro Jet’s effect depends on if the triggering
Move was Melee or Ranged.
•If Melee, the Move gains the Pass keyword and you
may change direction during the four meters of
Pass (but may still only target any given Pokémon
or Trainer once).
•If Ranged, the Move becomes a Line 4 instead of its
usual range.

Does that mean with the melee moves (Aqua Jet, Waterfall, and Aqua Tail) you can attack multiple people with one attack but only each target once? Like that if they use Waterfall and there's 4 people in a row that they can zig zag between them hitting them all. And can ranged moves, (Water Pulse, Bubble Beam, Whirlpool, and Surf) now target all four people in a line?

For Melee: Yes, that's how Pass moves normally work (p.340: you Shift up to 4 meters in a line attacking everyone you pass through, and must end your shift in an empty square), but Hydro Jet gives you the freedom to Shift in any direction you want when attacking, instead of being restricted to a line.
For Range: Yes, the effect makes those moves have an effective range of Line 4 (p.344).

Keep in mind these effects aren't static; they only apply when you spend an AP to activate them.
