"I'm afraid your master might have been pulling your leg," he said with a grin. "Exotic plants are a hobby of mine, and I'm quite sure I've never heard of any that could produce a giant plum, although this tree certainly does interest me, though I'm not sure I'd call it magic. I have a few suspicions, I just hope that whatever is causing the pokemon to become aberrant has not spread to the plant life," he went on.

"The implications of that could be quite harrowing. If rice and vegetable crops suddenly started to attack their farmers with the ferocity of an aberrant...," he trailed off. Best to hope it wasn't that.

Jouto thought about it for a couple of moments, "I don't think abberants can spread to plant life though?"

He tapped his chin thinking about it, "I don't remember hearing anything like that at least....... but if your saying the tree's an abberant, then maybe the man was wrong? Maybe he got confused between the tree and a pokemon, like the time Oyuki told me to de-quill that cactus she bought....... IT TURNED OUT IT WAS A CACTURN AND IT WAS MAD"

He smirked. "I don't think that plants can become aberrant either, at least not yet, but a case of mistaken identity... That's certainly a possibility. We'll know soon enough, I imagine."

Yoko stopped giving a small bark, Sly, Maigo and their pokemon were gathered just at the edge of the forest.

"Well, it looks like our paths all led to the same place. Did you two discover anything useful?," he asks.

"Yes, first this" Maigo said stranding up, showing Tsuru and Jouto the broken pokeball "This belongs to one of the lost apprentices, Electra has been able to track his scent and it leads into there" he said pointing into the woods "However from the reaction of our Pokemon, there is something the aberrant or whatever is behind this disappearances is extremely powerful, Electra wouldn't even go towards the woods without a bit of coaxing." he explained

Jouto pointed at the ax, "We found an old dude who said his ax broke on a magic tree, we were just discussing the idea that the tree might of been a pokemon that became the abberant and the ax's scent led us here"

"Yoko seems to sense danger as well," he said. "We found this," he said, offering the strange smelling axe. "According to a logger it was broken on a tree that could not be cut down, and emitted this strange odor. That trail led us here."

"The broken balls trail led us here as well, but me and Sly agreed we should wait for you two, the way the pokemon were reacting to the woods. We thought it would be better to travel as a group in there" Maigo said.
