So I thought it'd be cool to incorperate an Athlete dome for racing, swimming, climbing, and jumping. What do you guys think? It would be a bit like the triathalon in http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/pokethlon.shtml from that, and count it as training. What do you think and can someone help me make this. I have one character in my group that wants to do contests, but I don't know how to set up a challenge for her but I don't want it to be too hard or too easy. Is there a place in the guide that gave a sample contest battle so I can see how it runs. If not can someone explain it to me and show me an example of one or post one on youtube, preferably without background music as I have trouble hearing. Thank you. |

the easiest way to balance the npc is to ask the player what contest type they want to go into and what Pokemon they are planning to use than look at that Pokemon move set and what type they are and have the other Pokemon have the same number of moves and for poffin buff roll 1d3 per level of contest |

I do like the idea of Athlete Dome but you really need to design a whole set of rules for them. Personally, I tried to create the rules but I can't think of anything that isn't as boring as rolling a lot of dices yet being balanced. |

I have been working on a few dice games based upon the Pokéthlon Games with some private success. I just finished running a mock race last night where two very different teams ended up tying one another after a tense finish. Only one of the two was actually close to being an Athlete. Once I am down at a computer, I'll share the setup so others can give it a shot. |
