Shane frowns and examines it. While it was cool and all, archaeology wasn't his area of expertise. The occult was. Granted, the two often went hand in hand, so he knew enough to know that this didn't exactly belong, but there was no telling where it came from or who made it. With a shrug, he pockets it. Mystery, on the other hand, is very interested in the monkeys up above. He watches them unblinkingly, much like a mundane dog would watch a squirrel with intense interest. "Think they'd make good eatin', boss?" he asks quietly. Shane gives him a reproving glare and pulls up the Dex entry on Mankeys again to emphasize his point. "Right. Just checkin'. When are we gonna get some real food then?" Shane shrugs and gestures vaguely in the direction of the camp. Shortly, they head back that way. They approach Bill and Shane produces the arrowhead for him to examine. |

Isaac looks towards the creek with interest before Lolth begins clicking in his ear and pointing towards the Hive. It seems that while he wants to check out the water she's far more interested in seeing the local insects. Isaac shrugs before heading towards it. His affinity towards the various bugs makes the nest seem very interesting to him, not to mention how often they bring things back to base so he just might find something worthwhile |

As you approach the tree the first thing you notice is that it's a different kind of tree. Maybe that's why it was chosen for their hive. It's tall with a very thick trunk and branches all the way up. Around the base of the tree, and on the lower limbs, a number of Weedle play and eat. Higher up there is a number of Kakuna, and higher still there are many Beedrill buzzing about, though they seem less active because of the weather. You also notice a number of other bee-like pokemon, Combees, towards the top of the tree amongst the Beedrill. |

Bill looks up from his notes as Shane approaches and hands him an arrowhead. Quickly underlining his findings about the hardshelled ... let's call them seeds for now I was not getting anywhere with that anyway, "Thank you, Shane, I will look into it," he begins a new section, carefully detailing the shape, make, texture and other details of the arrowhead, trying to figure out what it could be and what era it could come from, using both his knowledge of the occult and his education in the alpha sciences, history, archeology and anthropology. |

The arrowhead looks like an ancient artifact from a tribal time period, but it's in remarkable shape. It's hard stone, it is very sharp and appears to have never been used, almost like it was made recently. It was clearly made with primitive hand tools, hand chiseled likely. There's nothing arcane or unusual about its make, it appears to be a strictly mundane arrowhead with no significant markings on it. |

"That is ... odd. Though the making is most certainly primitive, made with rather crude tools, it appears to never have been used before, like it was made only last week. It appears that wherever we have arrived, it is less civilised or advanced than our own world, unless of course ... no, that seems unlikely, though not entirely out of the realms of possibility..." William trails of, deep in thought, looking through his notes. |

Isaac stayed low to the ground, not wanting to risk anything with the Beedrill at the moment since he only had Lolth with him, and moved closer to one of the Weedle a little ways away from the rest of the Hive "Hey there lil fella" He keeps his hands visible and tries to make his stance as nonthreatening as possible. Lolth sits on his shoulder, ready to defend her master at a moments notice |

Shane nods sagely as Bill talks, trying to appear as though he fully understands the implications. One advantage of not being able to speak is that you can't open your mouth and make a fool out of yourself. It requires more effort. However... He and Mystery exchange glances which turn into grins. Something strange and unexplained! Well, the entire situation qualified, but this was something small enough to really investigate. Immediately, Shane began forming plans for figuring out where this came from and coming up with some preliminary possibilities. He pulled up his map once again and began searching the world for uncivilized places that this might have come from. Now, the red sky was odd, but perhaps it was some local atmospheric phenomenon. If he could narrow down the possibilities, however, they would be that much closer to knowing their true location. |

Eve ran back into the centre of the campsite with Dante following a few seconds behind. "I'm back and I hopefully found food." Dante said, unveiling the mass of mushrooms he found. "Assuming this place follows the usual conventions, these should be safe to eat. Also found some fresh Deerling and Sawsbuck tracks, along with some older, much larger ones. I did want to try and catch one of the Deerlings but I thought it best to bring this haul to camp first, maybe get some backup..." |

"Maybe," Flynn says from directly above Dante's head, "But might be an idea to get ourselves situated first. I mean, red grass, red sky, for all we know the deerling here are 20 feet high and all know hyper beam." Kurt looks up with a confused "Ralts", to which Flynn replies. "Yeah, the tracks would be... they could be really tall but just as thin... I mean, they'd probably be tripping all the time. Anyway, point is: survival first, catching later!" |
