"I'll see what supplies I can forage up." Dante offered, clicking his fingers twice in quick succession. Immediately Eve bounded over from where she had been watching Najya toiling the ground and stood by her trainer's side, following the pre-trained command she'd learned at a young age.

The aspiring breeder had an ulterior motive for wanting to go forage for supplies; it would afford him a chance to scout the area to see what if any other pokémon inhabited this forest. If he got lucky enough to bring a capture back with him then that would be an added bonus, but his main priorities were food and reconnaissance.

Flynn shrugs, still upside-down, and releases Kurt from his ball.

"Well, guess I'll see what I can do for shelter. I know tents and not much else, so don't hesitate to tell me I'm being dumb or anything. Kurt, TK'll be helpful here, so time to flex that big brain o' yours."

And so they set to work (along with anyone else who decides to help), Flynn working from the branches above, Kurt TKing from the ground below.

Before long Zhu has a little fire crackling away merrily, and he seems to have found a few solid logs that could easily be worked into the beginnings of a platform or as part of a lean-to.

As Dante began to search through the forest, he saw a number of things. First and foremost, you had to watch out for falling leftovers from the treetops above, as they thudded solidly around him. As for other food, it's hard to say, but you find some patches of mushrooms that you're pretty sure are edible...assuming the old conventions work wherever here is...

You notice some other things, too. Tracks. Specifically, Deerling and Sawsbuck tracks, and they look fresh. They are headed deeper into the forest. There are some much larger, much older tracks around too that you can't easily identify. Eve seems worried by those, but there's otherwise no trouble in the immediate area.

As Flynn and Kurt set to work they're able to make quick work constructing the beginnings if a shelter. You find a suitable spot in one of those lower trees for a platform. It's about fifteen feet off the ground with two widely spaced strong limbs and it has a strong limb above it as well running between the two. Within a short time you've got a platform down and secured using some vines for rope.

"Excellent, this is going swimmingly. We'll have a shelter in no time, and our company seems competent enough to defend itself from any minor adversity." He fans his hands in front of the flame, enjoying a moment of relaxation. His hands, though slender and regal, were marred with rough callouses and scars from years of working on his fields.
"I don't suppose anyone knows what time it is, given that our 'dexs are on the fritz. I think it's in our best interest to stay put, at least until the storm clears. Afterwards we should explore this land more and hopefully find some sort of indication as to where we are, weather and daylight permitting." He becomes lost in thought, pondering possible courses of action.

"Mushrooms. Fan-tastic."

Aw well, if that was all he could find and these were edible...

Dante started to gather up as many of the mushrooms as he could fit into his backpack, keeping in mind there were twelve in the party including their Pokémon companions and they had no idea how long they'd be stuck out here. Excess food was a blessing at this point. They'd have to remind the group to knock down some of these leftover fruity things from the trees as they seemed to be very popular with the pokémon wildlife. Hopefully the human presence might have convinced the local Pokémon to stay away from the immediate area they planned to sleep in tonight...

It was Dante's last gathering of mushrooms that led him to a very interesting discovery. Tracks. In fact, he was sure of it. These were...

"Deerling, Sawsbuck! I've always wanted one of those! And they're fresh tracks too..."

There was a nervous "Eie..." from his partner, breaking Dante's train of thought as he went to see what was bothering her. It wasn't hard to notice the source of her anxiety.

"Those are some LARGE tracks... I'd hazard a guess that they're from that Rhyhorn I heard but they're too old to tell for sure. If they're this old though, I don't think we need to be too concerned Eve." Dante tried to reassure his partner, laying his hand on her head comfortingly.

"I really want to go follow those Deerling tracks..." Dante confessed, "But the others are depending on me to get this food back to them."

The breeder wrestled with the decision for a moment, duty pulling him in one direction and desire pulling him in the other, before letting out a resigned sigh.

"We're going back. I wanta Deerling but the others need this food. There'll be other days, other Deerlings..."

This time it was Eve providing the comfort, nuzzling her owner's hand to try and brighten his mood.

"Come on girl, let's head back..." Dante started to retrace his steps, keeping aware of falling leftovers once more.

Bill, not being used to physical labour and seeing Flynn and his partner were doing fine, simply gives some pointers on where to tie logs down, what branches seemed strong enough and how the logs could best be laid against one another. While doing this, he carefully observes their immedieate surroundings, trying to find Pokémon tracks of some sort,, if only to know if there are more dangerous predators out there.

After having done this, he sits by the fire with one of the hard shelled hemispheres Dante's Eevee had found and starts studying them, trying to find any similarities between them and some Earthen plants, all the while scribbling away notes about shape, texture, scent and other specifics on it in his journal.

Shane feels pretty useless right now...He helps assemble the shelter as best he can, but he ends up standing out of the way and stroking Mystery. Let's see, something helpful to do...How about take a look around and study the Pokemon in the area? So resolved, he heads off with Mystery and his camera to see if he can both make friends and study the wildlife in the area.

Isaac noticed the group putting together the shelter and getting a fire started without much difficulty so he decided another body out searching for food wouldn't be the worst plan "Hey ya'll I'm gonna go search for some more food as well, maybe find out more about the forest too. I should be back in an hour or two at the latest" He then begin his trek into the woods

Under Bill's supervision the shelter comes along quite well. Before long the platform is complete. By throwing vines of the top of the higher central branch, you begin to draw up limbs to create a slanted roof. The thunder and lightning seems more distant now, but the rain is still pouring down.

While Shane looks around the forest, in the immediate are he doesn't spot any pokemon nearby, aside from the Mankey and Aipom far above, however a glint does catch your eye. Beneath a bush you find a small stone arrowhead, like the kind that ancient tribes used to use, but it looks very well preserved.

As Isaac searches for food and pokemon he remains largely undetected, though you do startle a pair of Pachirisu who scurry into the treetops when spooked. You come across a large, empty clearing in the forest, although there is rain pouring down into it. Beyond the clearing you see what you think is the faint outline of a creek, but it's hard to see through the rain, and off to the right, you see a tree whose limbs are wrapped up with string shot, the telltale sign of a Beedrill hive. There's bound to be the lower evolutions around there, and maybe other bug-type pokemon as well. ((Perception and which direction you want to go.))

Dante, as you begin to make you way back you begin to notice the hemispheres falling closer to you. Closer to you, and in larger numbers. Almost like you're being targeted. As you get closer to camp, however, it stops, and you're able to make your way back to the camp with little difficulty.
