Isaac looks at the branch "While I'm not doubting your ability to hit things with a branch, I have a better idea." Sitting down the hunter takes his knife and some of his rope, cutting it in a few places and taking pieces of wood and flora around him and using them to solidify key parts of the sling. Presenting his newly created weapon to Shane, his grin spreads completely across his face "I reckon this way you don't have to get close to the stuff we fight. You can just use whatever stones we come across too! I don't know if it'll last ya long but I think it'll do fer now." |

Shane accepts the weapon gratefully and twirls it experimentally. This would be good for now. This was what he wanted. He'd have to start learning how to use a weapon sometime, anyway, and this was simple enough that he (probably) wouldn't hurt himself with it. Plus, he might be able to use it to sling Poke-balls even farther than normal, once he got good enough at aiming. Once again through Mystery, he says, "More immediate problem. Food and shelter. We have some supplies. Do we go back t' the treehouse and fortify it? Maybe the Aipom will agree to help defend it if we let 'em live with us?" |

Happy with how quickly Shane has taken to his new weapon, Isaac ponders Mystery's question. On the one hand, going back to the treehouse will be taking them further away from their friends and it'll be harder to pick up the trail the longer they wait. But on the other hand it's invaluable for the two of them for surviving right now. But as for the Aipom....Well Mystery was there to translate. Isaac nodded "I think heading back and attempting to negotiate with the Aipom is a grand idea. I don't think I'll be of too much help during negotiations though. Even without takin into account the fact that I don't speak Pokemon, I'm not much of a talker, more of a hunter. So I hope the two of you can handle it" |

Shane nods in agreement. In truth, he was the best equipped to negotiate with Pokemon. He hoped that the Aipom were organized enough to understand and make a deal of this sort. They might not be. Pokemon society was a mystery to him. He points back the direction they came, wondering if now was the time to return. |

Isaac agrees with the pointing, heading out towards the tree house. Looking back over his shoulder towards the clearing he mutters under his breath "We'll be coming back for you all...We just aren't strong enough yet" Before walking faster towards the base. |

Bill You are all brought into a clearing near the center of the habitation. A crowd has begun to gather with people, especially children, gawking at you. Considering how different you look from them, it's not hard to see why...from your skin color to the clothing you all wear, you are very much strange outsiders. There is a large bonfire in the midst of the clearing, and your ropes are tied off to posts near this bonfire. The hunters all back away, save for Leeta, who stays close to Flynn. The hunters' leader disappears into a large tent for a short while. There is murmuring amongst the crowd, but he returns shortly thereafter, escorting a very, very old man out of the tent. Numerous pouches hang from his sides and around his neck. He is led by one hand by the leader, his other hand holding a mortar and pestle, though his hand is shaky. To call this man ancient would not be an understatement in the slightest. The aged man is lead over to Flynn first. As he stands before you it becomes clear from the man's milky eyes that he is blind. He reaches out, handing the mortar and pestle to the lead hunter, and reaches out for Flynn's face, running his thumbs and fingers over the lines and features of his face, trying to form a picture of the boy before him. Shane & Isaac You are both able to make good time back toward the tree house. Upon arrival, it appears to have been left untouched by any of the pokemon in the area. |

Their culture appears to be primitive, as was to be expected, though slightly further advanced than I thought, judging by the small amounts of crops. Mmmmh, curious, although the tribe appears to be patriarchal in its hierarchy, it seems the roles are split up evenly among the male and female. Simple, rudimentary wood and stone tools and weapons, as would be the case. And could it be? ... Yes, most excellent! No sign of domesticated Pokémon, which is quite possible one of the few advantages we have... They appear to be using leather of some sort for their cloth, I wonder what from... Bill mind's racing as he observes the village, taking in the smallest details that could help them gain an edge over the tribals. When they are tied down, uncomfortably close to the bonfire, he takes a moment to observe the crowd staring at his friends and him, a reasonable course of action, as he was doing the exact same thing to them. When the leader leads out an old ancient, rather man, equipped with various poaches and what appears to be a mortar and pestle, Bill can only draw one conclusion to the elder's role. A shaman of some sort, I suppose, a healer, wise man, perhaps proficient in some arcane arts as well... this could prove interesting. |

Well, they'd found civilization at least... that was something right? As their group was tied off to posts by the bonfire, Dante was reminded of a history lesson in which undesirables were burnt at the stake - a memory he didn't thank his brain for bringing up. Eve was still doing her best to remain as close to Dante's side as possible, something Dante hoped the tribals wouldn't object to given that they hadn't so far. "Easy girl, we're going to be fine..." Dante tried to reassure the clearly anxious Flareon, hoping he sounded more confident in that statement than he felt. |

The first thing Shane does upon reaching safety is take Roa out of her ball and set her gently on a bed of leaves. She scoffs at this soft treatment and declares (to Mystery) that this is only a scratch compared to some of the things she's encountered before, but Shane sits next to her and expresses, carefully and with hand motions, how very grateful he is for her assistance. He suspects it may have been for selfish reasons, considering the supposed hatred between the Zoroarks and the Tribals, but he is grateful nonetheless. After that, he takes stock of his medical supplies and frowns. Not much was left. Probably would be a good idea to learn about the berries, herbs, and whatnot that grew around here. Other than that, he seems content to rest for now and recover from his injuries. Maybe later in the afternoon they can look around for a few things. Or, maybe some Pokemon will find them. |

Isaac sits back, looking about. It's quite a bit more empty without everyone else here. Lolth had been on his shoulder for the entire trip, the arachnid still hurt from her fight with the Hunter. Releasing Midna and the as of yet unnamed Weedle to scamper around the area, he frowns. "I reckon we should stay around here for a bit. Me and most of the team are pretty hurt, especially Lolth here. Maybe the Aipom will come back and Mystery can do some translatin for us. After a bit of a rest though we could do some searchin, maybe find you another partner" |
