Leaping over the Primeape's swing, Flynn starts handspringing across the clearing. At first, it looks like he's running away, before he grabs a tree trunk and swings around it, keeping his momentum going. |

As Flynn swung around the tree trunk the Mankey King, finally comfortable in his new body, grabbed at the boy's ankles, tossing him roughly. Having finally landed another blow, the Mankey King pounded on his chest like a war drum. |

Flynn shifts as he's thrown, connecting with the tree he was thrown against with his feet. It's clear to anyone watching how much the attack hurt, but nevertheless, he springs back, leaping above his opponent and bringing his fists down as hard as he can in a distinctive last-ditch sort of attack. |

The Mankey King falls to his knees after the last attack, and then collapses into the dirt. (-3 HP) As he does, all of the smaller Mankey drop from the trees, forming a circle surrounding the group. They move closer, growling angrily and tightening the circle. They seem to be more than ready to avenge their fallen King. As the tension mounts, and it seems as though combat is inevitable...a single one of the fruit-things strikes one of the Mankey in the head. The Mankey looks up, furious, and as your gaze follow it, you see dozens upon dozens of Aipom in the trees above, each holding a number of those small fruit-things. You all recognize a roughed-up Aipom from before, and it seems to be leading the pack. "Pom, pom....POM!," it shouts, and the cry is taken up by the rest of the Aipom. Chaos ensues. They all start flinging their fruits at the now badly outnumbered Mankey, and the Mankey scatter, carrying their King away with them. In mere moments the Mankey are gone, and the Aipom cheer in the trees above. |

Flynn smirks at the cheers, even though he doesn't know how much, if any, are for him. Still, he mock-bows. "Thank you, thank you, you've been a wonderful audience!" He points at where the Mankey retreated. "Them, not so much". He looks down at his bruised body. "Also, ow!" He clambers back up into the treehouse, his pain barely affecting his movements, and sits down. "Ow, ow, ow!" He looks over as Kurt and Echo join him, Kurt giving him a wry look that seemed to say "You were good, but you kinda brought this on yourself." Flynn chuckles and looks at Echo. "So, what did you think of the show?" He asks. |

"Good job there!" Mystery cheers and Shane claps his hands in applause. "Er, hope ya don't mind that we didn't join in. Didn't want to invite his friends to the party, if ya catch my meaning." |

Flynn chuckles. "I know, believe me, else Kurt woulda joined in and then he wouldn'ta stood a chance, heheOW!" He stops laughing and puts a hand to his ribs. "Anyway, I figured a one-on-one defeat'd be a better gesture of "Don't screw with us." Make more of an impact." He pokes at a bruise under his clothes, wincing but finding no blood. "Though I didn't think it'd be literally." |

Concerned, Shane steps forward and offers Flynn his arm in case he needs extra support. He holds out a amessage on his Dex. Are you going to be alright? Do you want a potion or a bandage or...? Genuine concern is in his eyes. |

There was a loud thunk behind Flynn and Shane as a medical kit was tossed up into the treehouse, followed by the appearance of Dante as he climbed up after it. "That was kinda reckless taking on that Mankey King by yourself, especially when he evolved. Reckless, but an impressive victory nevertheless." Although Dante was more of an expert with Pokémon than with people, even his novice eyes quickly picked up that Flynn could use some medical assistance. "Shirt off. I need to make sure you're not too badly injured." Dante started looking through the medical kit, planning out what he'd need to use to fix up Flynn. |

"Aye, yer not wrong there." Flynn replies, taking his shirt off without hesitation - it seems that being checked and treated for injuries was a common occurance. Underneath, there's a good deal of bruising, but none of it that deep. (Had 8 hp left, now 20, and 1 injury) "Got kinda lucky he was so easy to taunt..." he continues, "but kinda unlucky that he evolved mid-fight, so I guess it evens out. Still, should give 'em somethin' to think about. Plus, once I've rested up a bit, I can go up to the treetops without too much worry, hopefully, see if I can get a few o' those fruit thingies so the smart people can take a look at 'em." |
