After they are a good distance away from the camp (though not far from the others), Shane releases 'Roa' from her ball. First thing he does is lock eyes with her until she looks away. Then, he smiles and holds out a small bit of food to her. Lastly, he points to him first and holds up one finger, then to Mystery and holds up to fingers, and then to her with three fingers. Afterwards he tries to gauge her mood.

Zhu kneels down to the Zorua's level.
"Listen friend. Your tradition means a lot to you, I can tell. But this decision is not the tribe's, it's yours. Let me know if you change your mind." With that, he stands up and tends to Najya's wounds more carefully, stroking her and whispering in Orrese.

The Zorua before Zhu just looked up at him expectantly, but it had raised its head, so perhaps that was a start. Its posture and expression were both easily recognized, especially to the former Prince of Orre. It took Zhu right back to his days in the palace, where servants would stand endlessly waiting to be dismissed or commanded to some new errand. This Zorua was waiting eagerly to be told what to do, and either it did not accept 'do as you like', or it did not understand.

For Shane, dealing with his Zorua goes...interestingly. It meets his gaze for a long, long time. Then it rolled its head to one side, then the other, looking at him askance. "Zor? Zo-rua?" What? Why stare? Eventually, thoroughly unsettled by the whole affair, the Zorua breaks eye contact...and gives him a baffled, quizzical look when he offers food...which she takes hesitantly. She's able to get the message about the pecking order, but just looks at him askance. "Zoor..." Strange...

Najya walks away from Zhu and greets the Zorua with formality. "Trap, trapinch. Pinch trapinch. Trap trap trapinch, rap pinch pinch trapinch." Greetings, friend. You fight exquisitely. Lord Zhubayr is a worthy trainer, and we would be glad to have such a powerful ally among us. She walks back over to Zhu and receives a Pokeball which she places in front of the fox.
"Pinch trapinch, trapinch trap. Trapinch pinch, pinch pinch rapinch." This will be your home, if you choose to join us. Just tap the white circle, and we will be comrades in arms. She smiles a massive grin, and waits patiently.

(Geez, making a Pokemon as long-winded as her trainer sure sounds ridiculous. I think I've typed pinch more times than I've said in the rest of my life.)

Mystery laughs at this exchange. Yeah...Shane is strange. For one, he can't speak. He can sigh and roll his eyes and tell you any number of ways how stupid you're being at the moment, but he can't speak. So most of his communication is done like that. I'll teach ya as we go. How 'bout it?

Shane offers her another piece of food and pats her on the head. Then, he sits down beside them and begins combing out Mystery's fur.

Isaac turned away from the conflict with the Zoroark, knowing he wouldn't stand a chance, and beckons for his newfound partner to follow him away. As he caught up to Shane and saw him pointing between himself and his Pokemon he wondered what was going on but wasn't going to ask. Nearing the mute detective Isaac speaks up "Hey Shane, do you reckon that Mystery can find out if this lil girl has a name yet? I don't wanna start callin her sumthin else if I got the chance to ask her"

Dante had been oddly quiet as he moved away to the entrance of the Arena, keeping Zhu and Najya in sight as he waited for their negotiation to be concluded.

Speaking of Zorua... Dante released his own, intending to treat the Zorua's injuries should it let him.

"Hello, my name's Dante. Are you badly hurt at all? I can help heal you if you have any injuries..."

The offer was suddenly interrupted by a voice the poor Zorua likely didn't want to hear again so soon after his defeat...

{Hey Luc-ky, guess who's the latest addition to my te-am?}

A cream and brown coloured furball dashed over and nuzzled the Zorua as Eve continued.

{You are!}

The Zorua looked between Zhu and Najya before eventually getting up and tapping the pokeball with its nose, being absorbed.

Dante, however, was having a more difficult time of things. It all started well enough, but as Eve came over and gloated over her victory, the Zorua became visibly angrier and angrier. It got red in the face, and even started trembling with its barely-checked anger.

Then it nuzzled him. It shouldn'ta did that.

"ZOR RU-A!," I NOT LUCKY! it shouted, turning and kicking with both of its hind legs at Eve.

After its attack it stood there, breathing heavily, glaring at Eve. It finally exhaled and shook its head.

"Zor zor or ru-a zor," And you not so lucky either. he said, turning away from her and going to sit next to Dante.

Following that outburst, the group was able to make their way out of the Zoroark Tribe's Village without incident. No one attempted to stop them. In fact, they didn't see anyone at all. Once they were clear of the village, and a short ways back into the forest, the group stopped to assess their situation and decide their next move.

Shane nods to Isaac and pats Mystery on the head. The dog turns to the as-of-yet-unnamed Zorua. Well? Do ya have a name, little missy? Or can we just call ya whatever we darn well please?"

The Zorua looked at Mystery and shook her head. "Zor-or, zor-ua." Not earned 'name' yet, just called 'Little One'.

As the group collected their thoughts, the forest around them seemed normal. Well, normal for this place. It wasn't too quiet, you could hear the pokemon above and around you, though none came quite so close--especially after Lucky's outburst. If not for the previous near-death experience it would be a fairly pleasant day.
