Shane's mind goes to full-speed when he realizes what the others are doing. He snaps twice loud enough for Mystery to hear. Cancel previous order. Then, he points towards Najya's opponent and does a two-fingered snap. Attack.

"Changing targets, are we? Alright then..." A deep growl rises in Mystery's throat. Burning, sulfurous fumes rise from his mouth as his chest swells. He takes aim at the poor, confused Zorua and fires an apocalyptic gout of flame that leaves the smell of brimstone behind it.

Shane grins. He'll be sure to give him a Mystery-Snack for that performance later! But now, there are more important things. Like catching a Zorua. He pulls out one of his basic Poke-balls and throws it with all his might directly at the one who had been impersonating Mystery.

Isaac sees the others on his team throwing Pokeballs at the Zorua and seeming to capture them he gets a little huffy. Never one to be shown up at capturing he pulls out one of the Pokeballs he brought with him, winds backwards and hucks it at the Zorua that had been impersonating Lolth.

As the ball smashed into the Zorua, Isaac hoped for the best and then yelled out to Lolth "If it breaks out of there I wantcha to take it down girl!"

The tables were very quickly turning.

Shane's pokeball struck the little Zorua in the side of the head, staggering and absorbing it. The ball shuddered violently for what seemed like an eternity. Just when you thought the ball would give out, just when you thought you could see a crack of light where the two halves met, just when you thought it would escape...the ball stopped and was still.

Then the resident capture specialist stepped up, not to be outdone, hurling his pokeball and blind-siding his own Zorua opponent. The ball struck it in the side of the head and bounced off. Angered by this new attacker, the Zorua leapt at the ball to try and bite it, but the ball absorbed the mid-leap Zorua without so much as a shudder.

Mystery's gout of flame barreled towards the last remaining Zorua. With almost supernatural skill, the Zorua sidestepped it at the last possible second. It glared at Mystery for having dared to interfere...but in its wrath it had completely forgotten about its true opponent! Najya erupted in a blast of stored power, catching the Zorua unawares and leaving it staggered and winded.

The crowd of Zoroark remained silent, watching as their hopes for an easy meal faded away. Where before they had held a distinct advantage, now they were sorely outnumbered.

"Excellent. It's all you, Kurt." Zhu beckons Najya closer, holding a potion.

Flynn, still cheering after Kurt's first KO, suddenly stops as the pokeballs fly, falling down into a crouch and looking around at the surrounding Zoroark, who probably aren't happy about members of their tribe being caught.

"Guys..." he whispers through his now-rictus grin, "I hope you know what you're doing."

Meanwhile, Kurt, who hadn't been fooled for a nanosecond, was about to deliver a final blow and a devastating put-down, explaining why the charade had failed when his opponent had suddenly disappeared into a pokeball. He looks around, identifying who it came from and then teleporting closer to him to yell at him a bit.

Ral alt Ralts RALT!

He didn't even notice that he'd teleported right next to the last Zorua standing and his voice is hurting it.

((well, that Pokéball would be Bill's, so...))

Bill rises his eyebrow quizically as Kurt starts shouting at him, chuckling a bit as the small empath's anger seemed to hurt the Zorua standing close to him. Though he is somewhat confused at the Ralts' rather over the top reaction, he understands the general gist of his anger. "Please do understand that not only did that Zorua first take up guise as my friend, he also attacked, knocked out and injured Nikola. As Nikola was the one who had first damaged them, and they were in fact the only one he managed to land a hit on, I felt it just that I was the one to catch them, rather than take one that was only beaten by one of the other Pokémon. There truly is no reason to be in ire with me, is there?"

The last Zorua's ears were left ringing, but the little tyke was still standing...more or less. From the look in its eyes you could tell it was working on a strategy to win...though it wasn't sure how.

Sweet, this battle was really going their way now... but it wasn't over yet. One Zorua still standing.

"Eve, full speed Tackle!"

Dante's starter rocketed across the battlefield, closing the distance in seconds as she attempted to barge into the remaining opponent.

Eve's tackle sent the last Zorua sprawling before it could react. In one, swift series the battle was over. The arena was silent. Dead silent. After a long moment, an aged female Zoroark stepped out from the crowd and administered some kind of medicinal to the two downed pups. Both seemed to recover, though they were hardly fit to fight.

Mumbling broke out amongst the crowd, but it was incomprehensible to the party and the other pokemon. Two many voices speaking at once. Eventually the Alpha held up his hand for silence.

"Ark, zor zoro. Ar-ark, zor. Ro ro-ark." "You have victory. You may claim your right, then leave. Never return." When he said this, the two revived Zorua bowed their heads towards the party, as if awaiting judgement.

When the Alpha said this, a large Zoroark came out from the pack and challenged him. He spoke quickly, and none of the pokemon could catch what he said, but judging from the way he pointed at Bill and his body language he clearly felt that at least one of the party had lost. It's clear that this situation could become volatile. Whatever you decide, it would be best to decide quickly...

((Congratulations! You won your Zoroark Ritual Death Battle! Everyone take a milestone, 3 trainer exp and 90 pokemon exp! Additionally, here's the Zorua's!

Dante's Catch: Level 15, your choice of Nature. In addition, it has the Invisibility Capability, the Sucker Punch Inheritance Move, and the Attack Conflict Poke'Edge for free!
Shane's Catch: Level 15, your choice of Nature. In addition, it has the Invisibility Capability, the Extrasensory Inheritance Move, and the Attack Conflict Poke'Edge for free!
Bill's Catch: Level 15, your choice of Nature. In addition, it has the Invisibility Capability, the Snatch Inheritance Move, and the Attack Conflict Poke'Edge for free!
Isaac's Catch: Level 15, your choice of Nature. In addition, it has the Invisibility Capability, the Counter Inheritance Move, and the Attack Conflict Poke'Edge for free!

I'm letting you guys pick your natures because there's seriously like a million ways to build a Zoroark, and I don't want to rain on anyone's parade. If you want to know what the nature was at time of capture, I can certainly let you know and you're free to choose that one.

Also, if Flynn or Zhu want, you may claim your opponents! They are...

Flynn's Opponent: Level 15, your choice of Nature. In addition, it has the Invisibility Capability, the Copycat Inheritance Move, and the Attack Conflict Poke'Edge for free!
Zhu's Opponent: Level 15, your choice of Nature. In addition, it has the Invisibility Capability, the Detect Inheritance Move, and the Attack Conflict Poke'Edge for free!))

Dante noticed the interaction between the Zoroark with some concern.

"Excuse me." Dante spoke up, trying to get their attention.

"You made no effort to withdraw Bill's opponent after he knocked out Nikola and that Zorua continued to battle against other opponents in the arena. You also had no objections to my partner attacking a Zorua that was not her original opponent. By your own actions, this was clearly intended to be a group battle and we are the victorious group, regardless of individual outcomes. Therefore all of us should go free to never return."

Dante hoped Mystery would oblige him by translating that, making a note to cook the Houndour something personally as a thank you later. A second thought occurred... freedom or death, was that one-sided?

"What will happen to them if they remain unclaimed?" Dante gestured at the Zorua that had been the opponent's of Flynn and Zhu.
