Bill had gotten up somwhat early, though both Dante and Flynn seemed to be up and running already, literally in Flynn's case. He somehow manages to get down from the shelter and rummages around in his backpack for a moment, getting out a rather old-looking tome, titled "The Olde Art of Dowsing", and starts reading through it, carefully paying attention to several chapters that he glossed over the first time he had read the book. He found that it was now a lot easier to sort and remember the information held in the book. After just about half an hour, he puts away the book and pulls out his Spark Booster and sends out Nikola to have it charged. After just a few minutes of charging, the apparatus is once again loaded for the day and ready to be used. After this he gets out his dowsing equipment. Being careful to not stray too far from camp, he gets to dowsning, carefully checking his surroundings to find some of the precious Shards needed for his crafting. Actions

When Isaac wakes up most of the camp is already up and buzzing around. He sets the Weedle out and looks her over for a bit. She seems to have mostly healed up from their little scuffle, though she has a gash in her side from his blade "Look, I know we didn't get off on the best of terms but I'm your partner now. I'll make sure you get nice and strong and you make sure I get the things that I'm tryin ta get. Now lets work on getting you strong" Isaac spends the next hour with the Weedle, teaching it the same regiment he uses on Lolth, working on its teamwork, and most importantly teaching it the codes for the plans they'll use in case of a capture. After he finishes up with the Weedle he sits down to eat. As he's eating Isaac asks anyone nearby "Before we go see what those Zoroark want, anyone wanna find more Pokemon? I can help you out with it, I'm pretty good at catchin things and I can fix any broken Pokeballs" Spoiler: click to toggle

Having returned with some rather ... meagre spoils, Bill sits down next to Isaac, nodding at his statement. "I can see how being able to make and repair your own Pokéballs could be useful in your line of work." He turns to the rest of the group, "I too can make us some Pokéball, at least, if we run across any materials for them, as well as repair them, even if for me learning this particular skill was more out of curiosity than out of especial need. Besides this, I can provide everyone with some more ... esotoric goods. I can, at least I could if I would find more Shards than I have today, at the moment craft amulets that will enhance a certain type or protect against one, that increase ones prowess in battle, as well as simple Type Gems and several of the Evolution Stones, though I would prefer not having to craft Type Gems, as my resources are still limited to what I can find on one day. I have also been working on making several other, more powerful amulets, or at least ones that are more flexible than a usual Focus, though I have so far not managed to fully finish the spells needed to make one, as I have to make sure the flux of energy from several different Shards, all working at the same time, does not interfere, or even cancel out one ano..." A quick zap from Nikola stops him in his rambling, causing him to blush slightly, "Nevermind that, not important, just be assured that I am working on it." |

"Well, don't I feel useless now?" Flynn pipes up, finishing his one-arm pull-ups before flipping onto the platform. "All I can do is jump a bit. Speaking of, I'm going to get a few of those brown-fruit-ball-thingamies, maybe the smart people can figure something out with or about them. Be back in a few." With that, he recalls Kurt and clambers off into the treetops. Edit: Well, he tries to, before his tired arm falls short and he clatters down through the branches. "I'm okay!" He squeaks out from below. Edited by Mad Andy, Jul 3 2015, 03:45 PM.

"I cooked enough breakfast for everyone by the way." Dante smiled at the gathered group, settling down with Eve in his lap. "I also make my own candy bars and Pokémon food... it's good for young 'uns." Dante pulled a grooming kit from his backpack and set to work on Eve as he spoke, the latter enjoying it very much judging by the relaxed smile of contentment on her face. "I've got some medical training... I could probably do something for the injury your Weedle has there Isaac. I might also need your expertise later to track down some Deerling I saw yesterday too." When Bill mentioned Evolution Stones, Dante's eyes lit up like jack-o-lanterns. "That's something I'd be very interested in trading for." Actions

"Trackin some Deerling down would be a decent warm up before findin those Zoroark. I'll help out no problem. Just point out which one you want caught too, don't want my bugs taking it out of the fight too quickly, though they can hold it down if you want some help with the actual catch" Isaac smiles as he starts talking about what his bugs can do before remembering what Dante said about medic training "Also I mighty appreciate the offer to fix up my Weedle...Which reminds me, I'm gonna need to come up with a name for her!" |

Shane yawns and rolls over in the treehouse. Huh, the sun was up...must have slept late. Mom wouldn't be very happy about that. It was a nice morning, though, with the red sky and... He sat bolt upright and looked around. Everyone else was already up and moving. Probably had been for hours. Shane felt his heart sink. Why was he even here? He couldn't do much of interest or help. All he could hope to do is figure out where exactly they were and what good would that be if they couldn't survive to get out of it? Still, time to see what he COULD do to help... He dropped down from the tree-house and stretched, happily accepted breakfast (which he and Mystery ate with great gusto, though there sadly wasn't as much of it as he'd like), and takes a moment afterwards to reflect on the situation with Mystery. Although he didn't hear Isaac's initial offer, he gathers from the conversation what exactly is going on and thinks it over carefully. He'd never really made more than a half-hearted attempt to capture Pokemon other than Mystery. There just hadn't been the pressing need for them. But here and now...it seemed like a good idea. Just so long as there were no ghost types. He pulls Mystery aside to discuss it for a few minutes. Spoiler: click to toggle

Zhu, who had been lying awake for quite some time, finally sat up. He looked around at his newly found companions, and wondered what trials lie ahead for them. He got all the way up and packed up his sleeping bag. He had trouble sleeping last night, thinking of the Zoroark village and the new, alien forest they were in. He had weighed many options, like a giant game of chess. So far he had a few courses of action: 1.) Stay put. Hope that somehow the Light returns and brings us back home. Pros: We have a base of operations, a slim food supply, and on the off chance the light returns to us, we could head back home. Cons: We don't get anywhere, and the light was most likely a freak phenomenon that we have to research more, not just hope for the best. Also, the Zoroark tribe probably doesn't take kindly to us being in such close vicinity to them. 2.) We stay together and try to find a way out of the forest. Pros: We head somewhere and find new things, possibly a way back home. Also, IF we don't find a way back home, we could find a more hospitable place to set up camp. Cons: Where we are right now is the closest spot we know of to any known portal back home. We would be giving that up. Also, with all of us together, we wouldn't cover much ground. 3.) We split up, hoping to find some hint of home. Pros: This makes sense because if one of us finds it first, we can send a messenger to the rest of us and get us all back home. We cover significantly more ground, and therefore a better chance at getting out. Cons: We have no idea what else is out there. It's most certainly dangerous to go out, especially alone. Splitting up is an unnecessary risk. 4.) Wait until after breakfast to think more about it. Zhu liked number 4 the best, and decided to table his thoughts on their next course of action until after he had finished his rations. Spoiler: click to toggle

Breakfast goes by without incident. The Mankey and Aipom were active in the trees above, and began to laugh at Flynn's failed attempt at climbing the tree as if it were the funniest thing they'd ever seen. They whoop and holler, beating on their chests, as Flynn sits on his rump in the mud below. Bill manages to make a meager haul of shards as well, the mud and rain serving to hide many shards. Below your tree the ground is covered in the footprints of Zorua and Zoroark from the night before, some slightly filled with puddles of water. The trampling has, however, churned up the ground into a muddy slurry. ((To go after Deerling, I assume you will head back where you were before. Survival and Perception for those involved here. If you want to look for the Zoroark tribe it will also be Survival and Perception rolls to try and track them. If you'd like to return anywhere you went the day before, you are free to do so without difficulty. Also, if you wish to climb the trees to get up towards the Aipom and Mankey you may do so with an Athletics or Acrobatics roll. You can choose to use the vines or not, and if you choose to use the vine it will make the climbing easier, but you will need to roll me a D20 as well. If you want to do something else say so and post a skill you think would be appropriate.)) |

It didn't take as long for Dante to tend to the Weedle's wounds as he thought it might. Once the gash in the Weedle's side was carefully cleaned it appeared that it was well on the way to healing naturally by itself. Dante dressed it anyway, better safe than sorry. "There you go little one." Dante patted the yet unnamed Weedle gently. "All done Isaac." As Dante looked up to inform his friend, Eve mimicked her trainer, patting the Weedle as well with an impish smile on her face. "Deerling... I think they were in... that direction?" With all the muddy prints and the rush of last night, it took a moment to work out which way Dante and Isaac had come dashing back from, but he was sure it was this way. "Eve, can you track 'em still?" Actions
