A broad smile began to form on Isaacs face and the hunter had to stifle an excited laugh "Look I reckon those things are dangerous but...We HAVE to find them and take them up on that there offer. Pokemon in a tribe!? This is the kind of thing I've been lookin fer! Something NEW" He couldn't hold in his excitement anymore. He was terrified but at the same time, this is a fantastic discovery

Flynn, having looked blank throughout this entire exchange, finally just shrugs. "Okay, sure, whatever, not like anythings made sense so far, might as well go along with it, but let's do it in the morning - I'm tired and me weird-shit-o-meter's in dire need of a recharge. Who wants to be on first watch?"

"Oh, by the way... Isaac," he takes a moment to remember his name, but out of fatigue and, well, being Flynn rather than malice, "sorry about what I said... look, I don't mind how you go about catching 'mon, just seemed like a bit of a risk, if you know what I'm saying."

Isaac turned towards Flynn "It makes sense that you said it really. I don't reckon we all know each other well enough to just accept things like that" He briefly laughs "But tracking down and catching Pokemon is what I've done for most of my life, and you know what they say about old habits. Besides, great risk means greater reward. But I'll do my best to not risk the rest of you" He adds the last part with a sheepish smile. He wasn't used to having to think about the wellbeing of others

Shane's mind is going at a hundred miles an hour. Arrowhead...Zoroark tribe...primitive tools...Oh Arceus! Think of the possibilities! He produces the arrowhead and holds it up excitedly. This was probably one of theirs! Which really doesn't help with narrowing down the locations they could be in, but it is one mystery solved!

Wait...if Pokemon are forming tribes...then this must be an isolated area. Which means that this is Mew's jungle! Or...is LIKELY Mew's jungle.

"Well finding them shouldn't be too hard... with all the numbers that were down there, I'm sure Eve or Mystery could track them down." Dante suggested.

Eve looked at Mystery and winked. "Vui!"

"Also starting to lean towards some kind of time travel bringing us here... Zoroark using tools and operating in a tribe mentality suggests some kind of behavioural evolution to me..."

Mystery grins. "Aye. Don't ya worry. The little lady and I can sniff 'em out right quick." He winks back at Eve with roguish charm.

Shane frowns. Time travel seems less likely than teleportation to him. And, given sufficient space and little interference, it would make sense for some more organized groups of Pokemon to start up a primitive civilization. But, he still filed 'time travel' as another possibility to investigate.

"What exactly are our options here?" Zhu questions, piping in after pondering for while.
"We either accept their challenge, whatever that may be, or we stay up here indefinitely until they give up or something bigger comes along. This also may be our best bet at getting back to where we came. Perhaps they know something about the Light that brought us here, and if we figure out a way to communicate with them, then maybe they could help us." He smiles for a moment, then it turns back into a frown.
"That is a big if though, and even if they CAN understand us, they don't seem terribly amicable."

The evening drags on more or less uneventfully. Rain continues to fall, and the group is able to sleep in shifts, occasionally awoken by the sounds of howling Zoroark in the distance, but as the sun starts to rise the howling stops. By sunrise the rain has stopped falling, though drops still fall from the rain soaked canopy to pool on the forest floor below.

As the first rays of light creep through the canopy, pokemon begin to stir in the forest. The Mankey and Aipom above, and other pokemon on the forest floor that had hidden during the thunderstorm. The cries and chirps of bird pokemon can also be heard as the forest comes back to life.

As you stir, you find yourselves in this same, strange environment. It seems it certainly wasn't a dream, if that's what you were thinking. The events of yesterday come to mind. The various pokemon tracks, points of interest, and that Zoroark tribe's challenge... Where will you go today? What will you do, and what will you find? What new challenges await in this strange, new world?

((It's your first sunrise in this strange, new environment, and you managed to survive your first night! Everyone take a milestone and 3 trainer experience for surviving day one's trials. Also, subtract one day's worth of food and water from your supplies and decide what you'd like to do today.))

Dante awoke with a yawn, turning his head to the right and seeing what he always saw every morning. Once again, Eve had managed to snuggle into the extra space of his sleeping bag as usual, happily curled up against him snoozing away.

It didn't seem that anyone else was up yet, so Dante carefully extricated himself from his sleeping bag and generously set about preparing breakfast for all. Once the mushrooms and the packet rations started cooking, it didn't take long for Eve to be roused by the smell. Dante smiled and fetched one of his home-made batches of Pokémon Food from his backpack, putting it into a plastic dish for Eve to tuck into with gusto.

"Deerling to hunt and Zoroarks to challenge... it's going to be a long day."

Flynn, up at the crack of dawn as usual, spends an hour exercising and training with Kurt, both physically, psychically for Kurt and as a team. Of particular note is a game they seem to play where Flynn does some gymnastics and Kurt has to teleport to whichever bits of him are facing up when he stops.

(Applying experience and Agility training to Kurt)
