Isaac looks down at the Zorua, quite the rare Pokemon. That's the kind of thing he could find himself hunting. But this is not the time for that "If you really want to catch that I think me and Lolth could be some help. Her skill with webbing is mighty fine. Actually she grabbed me this from a Beedrill nest" Isaac holds up the Great Ball "I ended up runnin into a whole mess of Beedrill and their kin and nabbed me one of the youngins" |

Bill had let the others help the few remaining up to the shelter, not sure how to help and not wanting to get in the way. As the other guys catch their breath and notice the Zorua, Bill takes a look at Shane's camera screen, noticing the various foot prints. Raising an eyebrow, he thinks for a moment, before getting an idea. Ignoring the others, he looks down, trying to use his knowledge of the arcane to determine if there are any illusions being thrown up around their perimeter. |

Flynn listens to the discussion about catching the Zorua, and Kurt's proposed part in it, open-mouthed. "Sure he can," he says at last, "He's not going to, but he can. Let's ignore how unlikely catching it straight off the bat is - if you want to piss off a pack of 'mon more powerful than any of us, I can't stop you," He looks sidelong at Isaac, "apparently it's our MO, but I'm not gonna put Kurt in the line of fire of a bunch of invisible Zoroarks." He thinks for a second. "Course, if they attacked us, all bets'd be off, but I don't want to start a fight we probably can't win." |

"You're right... what was I thinking? I'm not so desperate for a Zorua that I'm going to kidnap one from the horde below. I'll ask if one wants to join of its free will." Dante looked down over the edge again. "Zoruas and Zoroarks, I come in peace with an offer. If one of you will travel with me by my side, in exchange I will provide that one with a steady supply of food, help you become stronger even than you are now and we will travel lands far beyond this forest. What say you?" |

Shane sighs. That's what he wanted to do, except he didn't have a nice loud voice to do it in. However, there was no guarantee that they even understood the words they were speaking. There was a good chance that they'd understand another Pokemon, however. He smiled and gestured for Mystery to come closer. "What is it, boss?" the Houndour asked. Shane tried to communicate to him what he wanted to say, but Mystery didn't quite get it this time. "Er, are ya sure ya want me to ask them THAT, boss? Alright..." He leaned over the edge and barked something down at the crowd below. |

Isaac looks over at Flynn, who apparently wasn't a fan of his methods "Look I wasn't saying that he should just go out of his way to piss off the pack. I'm just saying if he needed the Pokeball grabbed I'd help him out. Of they wanted to take us out right now they would. It's not like they can't climb trees." he emphasized the last point while looking over his shoulder to make sure nothing was coming up while they were distracted |

Looking down at the ground below, there are no illusions. Just what looks like a whole lot of empty space. As you make attempts to communicate with the Zoroark Horde below, and try to convince the Zorua to leave its tribe, the little Zorua looks up at you curiously and starts laughing. Then you start to hear a growling sound starting at the base of the tree. It quickly starts to pick up, and before long it sounds like all of the ground around your tree is growling at you like a dog with its fangs bared. Then the air above the ground begins to shimmer as close to two dozen Zoroark begin to appear, seemingly from thin air. Mant have bones braided in their hair or pelts. One, larger than the rest, moves forward. He holds a large, gnarled staff in one hand, and scoops up the small Zorua pup in the other. He stands before the tree and turns to the crowd of Zorua before him. "Aaaaark. Zor, zoro!," he says, pointing at the Great Ball in Isaac's hand. The crowd of Zoroark begin to growl and snap and the larger one holds up his staff, silencing them. "Ark. Zoroark!' With that the pack of Zoroark begin to disperse back into the trees. As they slip into the forest they all, one by one, turn totally and completely invisible. The last to go is the largest Zoroark, and as he does he points at the group, huddling in their tree, and stamps his staff into the ground. Then, he too leaves, turning invisible. ((Intuition checks, and Focus for Mystery.)) |

Bill, you have no idea what that Zoroark was going on about. Maybe the red sky, maybe this is his tree, maybe he likes your clubhouse? However, everyone else gets the distinct impression that he was calling you out, challenging you all. What's more, Shane and Flynn, you're both fairly certain he was inviting you to come his village tomorrow for this challenge, whatever it is. That's about what Mystery gathers as well and is able to communicate. |

"What in the blazes was all that about?" Bill asks, having absolutely no clue as to what's going on, "And more importantly, did you see those Zoroark. There were no signs of illusions down there that I could see, which suggests that they made themself unseen by other means. That is quite disconcerting, as that would mean these Zoroark, highly capable pack hunters, are capable of turning themself invisible, or at least blend in with their surroundings extremely well. Also, the one jawping at us was holding a cane, which implies that they make use of tools, which would suggest a human-like intelligence and ingenuity. This is unlike anything seen at home, as far as I am aware." |

Shane frowns. What Bill says makes sense...but it wasn't perfect invisibility. He saw their shapes coming through the undergrowth and they left footprints behind as well. But still, it was concerning. And then there was this challenge. Shane was inclined to try and accept it, but there was no telling where their village lay. Even if they agreed to accept it, how would they find the village itself? |
