So I'm probably late to the party on this, but Pokemon Pinball RS has an internal battery, and mine has just died. I did a bit of testing, and it prevents the cartridge from saving/suspending during the middle of a pinball game. The menu will come up, but re-loading the game will always take you to the last save point when the battery worked (I tested this myself and noticed that the game was always reloading at the same point, no matter how much progress in the game I made). The hi scores and Pokedex appear to be unaffected and they're all still there, but I haven't tested to see if new entries can be added since. (It would involve me playing through pinball games in a single sitting, which I don't feel like doing yet.) So, for those people out there who also have a Pinball RS with a dead internal battery: ~Even with it dead, will new high scores and Pokedex data be able to be added? ~If the battery is replaced, will there be any loss of data (other than a potential suspend save)? I'd like to one day finish the Pokedex of that game, and I've made it to 189 out of 205, but I want to know what kind of roadblocks will stand in my way of that. |
