For my Game I want to combine Shadow Pokémon from Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and mixing them with Dark Balls from the movie, Celebi: Voice of the Forest. Team Spectrum uses Snag Machine with Umbra Balls that like in the movie automatically turns pokemon into Dark Pokemon will turn them into Umbra (the darkest part of a shadow) Pokemon. If the balls are broken or released the pokemon become normal again. Or if the pokemon are snagged back. These pokemon will have a +2 to all stats and get shadow moves. These pokemon have no restraint when battling so if battled both trainers and pokemon risk death not fainting if they sustain alot of damage. What do you guys think? Depends. Is this PTA or PTU? and are you going to use an existing template or are you going to make your own? |

All right, good so far. I'll ask for this to be moved to the PTU section. In the meantime, what about the template? Are you going to be making your own, or using another? |

Templates will be the regular ones from the ptu core guide. Mainly because this pokemon can be changed from Umbra pokemon back to regular pokemon. |

I think that the only thing I'd have to bring up is how you're planning on dealing with the "death instead of fainting" in PTU. Do the Shadow Mon just continue attacking unconscious opponents? Or are you using a completely different set of mechanics for injuries, Death, and fainting? |

To the point of death attacks, it'll be them attacking if fainted and not returned. ALSO if a pokemon or player has say 30 hp and takes 50 damage due to these pokemon being incapable of doing restraint damage such as a gym battle unless their owner has complete control over them. |

In PTU Death occurs at -200% HP, or 10 injuries. So in the scenario you outlined the Shadow mon would have to do 90 damage total to kill the target. |

Yes thank you for clearing it up. I need to re-read again. But as gm I'll try not to kill players and pokemon too much issues will occur though if pokemon get pushed beyond the breaking point. Say if a player doesn't switch a wounded pokemon out after battling 3 powerful Umbra Pokemon and the fourth does serious damage then a pokemon could die. But on the topic of the control case say one of the generals Brunswick battles a trainer but uses his Umbra Tyranitar which he raised for years and has a very close connection. He could hold it back from killing but still have it leave scars. The whole leave you scared as a message to others thing. Edited by ColeMason, Jan 9 2015, 09:26 PM.

I'm afraid you're referencing things that have no context for the rest of us for your counter-argument. I honestly didn't catch what you were trying to say. |
