Action for getting a PokéBall; And how are they stored?

It's a Standard Action to use a Poké Ball to attempt to capture a Pokémon. It's a Swift Action to use a Poké Ball to send out or recall Pokémon.

What does it cost to get a PokéBall out of your backpack?

If a trainer has 6 Pokémon on their belt already, do they have to spend a Standard Action to get a ball to capture a 7th?

Alternatively, if a trainer keeps spare PokéBalls on their belt, where do they keep their party?

Edit: Sorry, I'm not sure if this question is basic enough for the general q&a thread. I apologize if this is in the way.

If you grab a PokéBall from your backpack and use it straight away, it's all a single standard action. The same goes for similar consumable items like potions, smoke balls, etc.

From a combat perspective, if a trainer fetches a PokéBall simply to have it ready for use, it could be considered 'equipping' the PokéBall and also costs a standard action. Can't think of a situation where that would come up, though.

I think the grabbing of a ball from a bag or belt is covered in the Standard Action, just for ease of play and less bookkeeping. It is a little odd when you need a Feat to draw a Weapon as a Free Action (WoC), but since Balls are closer to Items than Weapons in performance, it also makes sense that way.

I don't think an Action tax is required for a 7th mon, just warp it out upon capture.

The last question falls under fluff and flavor moreso than game mechanics. Some might keep them in a jacket or a bag, but something like that shouldn't have an impact on gameplay unless their items simply aren't on their person.

This should have been in the Q&A thread, locking it.
