New to the game/forums, sorry if I put this in the wrong place.

I just found out about this game and I've been skimming through the rulebook, but I had some trouble parsing the section on Base Stat Relations; I had to read that section three or four times before I figured out what it meant (from what I can tell, it means "your highest stat is always your highest base stat" or something along those lines). Maybe I'm just being dumb, but I feel like the section may need to be rewritten for better clarity or at least give more examples.

Do you still need help understanding Base Relations? Or are you exclusively asking the about a revision?

In case you still need clarification:
Base Stat Relations is the idea that the relationship between your base stats will always be the same. As you put it "your highest stat is always your highest" all the way down to your lowest. If a stat ties with another it simply must remain above or below the other stats in relation, it does not need to maintain its equal value. You can alter base stats through things like: Natures, Vitamins, some class features (ex. Underdog:Inner Strength), or Evolution. On the other hand leveling up gives you Stat Points you spend within the Base Relation.

It basically goes like this: If you would sort the stats in order (be it ascending or descending), the order must always be the same - except for initially equal stats, who are equivalent to each other.

Probably even helps to write the order down for quick access, with stats that start out the same in parenthesis or something.

I personally always include a line in my statsheet of the format "SpAtk = SpDef > HP = Def = Speed > Atk" for a Modest Floette.
