Route 5 Route 5 is a fairly fast path between Rainshadow City and its smaller neighbor Fort Mukilcoma. It's a long elevated highway built over the trees below, as to not disturb nature (and the view from up high is great!). In either direction there's a lane devoted to people in vehicles or riding bikes or Pokemon, and a lane for the walkers. A median exists in the center with occasional benches in case anyone needs to rest. Because you can only easily enter and exit Route 5 at each city without getting off in between, occasionally shady salespeople or even biker gangs will set up on the Route, taking advantage of travelers. |

The rest of the party finds Ziggy hanging out at the start of Route 5, having a little band practice. Gotta get ready for the new show and all. It sounds like Ziggy might have some new material to wow the crowd with too. #Ziggy trains his pokemon, using his Ace Trainer and Elite Trainer feats Ziggy and the band play loudly in the park for hours, practicing the new music until they get it perfect Charm: [result]21&3:5:2:5,4d6,6,21&4d6+6[/result] Focus: [result]16&1:4:6,3d6,5,16&3d6+5[/result] As usual, Victory keeps a look out for anything unusual... especially unusual pokemon Perception: [result]20&6:1:3:1:5,5d6,4,20&5d6+4[/result] |

#Tristan finagles a roster switch from Garden Mode to Exploring Mode as he heads to Route 5. #He has Otto put away the Heartguard Suit, saving it for a special occasion. They find some leaves and Otto quickly crafts one of the suits he's used to making. #What's the weather like on Route 5? Will help determine my team & Sewaddle's Suit. Walking out onto Route 5, Tristan quickly spots Ziggy and waves. He keeps an eye out for any interesting flora (plant samples) and fauna (Pokemon). Perception: [result]15&5:4:2,3d6,4,15&3d6+4[/result] General Education (looking for spots interesting plants might grow): [result]21&1:5:5:6,4d6,4,21&4d6+4[/result] |

Lorne is relieved to see two of the others already here and ready to go. Technically, he supposes he doesn't have to travel with them, but if they're going to be working together in this little investigation, it's probably best if he plays nice for now. Besides, Tristan and Ziggy made good first impressions with Lorne. Their company would actually be welcome. He gives a nod to the other two and joins up with them. "Let's not take too long to travel. I'm on a time limit and need to reach Mukilcoma before it's too late." Perception: [result]21&6:6:6,3d6,3,21&3d6+3[/result] |

All: The weather is pretty average today - mildly warm and partially cloudy, with some sun peeking through. The entrance to Route 5 is pretty much right in Rainshadow, so other than the surrounding park, there isn't much vegetation around. The road gradually lifts higher and higher into the air, forming a highway on stilts over the heavily forested landscape in the distance. Signs at the entrance read "No Exit Until Mukilcoma." #Will respond a little more in depth to your Perception checks later, feel free to chat etc |

Kylar woke up a little late and rushed to Route 5 to get a move on to Fort Mukilcoma. Perception [result]15&6:4:4,3d6,1,15&3d6+1[/result] Survival for tracking and overall terrain knowledge [result]17&1:4:1:4:3,5d6,4,17&5d6+4[/result] |

Ziggy is at the entrance to Route 5 fairly early (especially for him), so he doesn't have a huge audience during band practice - mostly joggers out for their morning run, or businessmen on their way to work. A couple people throw change into Ziggy's guitar case - [result]3&3,1d3,0,3&1d3[/result]00 Pokeyen. Victory spots an occasional Pokemon, but mostly Pidove and Rattata, things Ziggy had caught before. She floats back to Ziggy and drops something in his lap - oh, she found an unused Pokeball! Tristan also doesn't spot anything wild (other than Ziggy of course). Though he is intrigued by some of the plants growing under the highway. He finds a spiky, weed-like Durin Berry bush, with [result]3&2,1d3,1,3&1d3+1[/result] Durin Berries! He also picks up a couple of pine cones - maybe Otto would like them. Lorne and Victory notice Route 5 has a couple of different lanes. There's a grassy median separating the northbound and southbound lanes. And in each direction, there's one lane for trainers who are traveling on foot, and another for trainers riding Pokemon, bikes, or the rare delivery truck (most people don't own cars). Lorne notices this fast lane seems to be the place to be, since down the route it looks like walkers are backed up by something. He also finds a perfectly good Antidote, dropped by the entrance. When Kylar arrives, he sees Ziggy, Tristan, and Lorne starting to congregate. He finds the setup of the route intriguing. It looks like the highway is elevated over the lush forest, with no exits except for Rainshadow and Mukilcoma...though of course his mind starts to wander, wondering if there's a way to climb down from the route at any other point. The forest seems pretty dense, so he can imagine why most trainers would prefer the high road. |

Kylar acknowledges the group as he walks to the left edge of the route looking for a place to secure his utility rope and lower himself into the dense forestry. The prospect of new pokemon and the unknown is too much to not look into. Perception for good spot to secure rope [result]13&2:6:4,3d6,1,13&3d6+1[/result] #add 2 if considered urban or forest terrain |
