Lorne:
River tenses up at the mention of NanoKlink, clearly not expecting the conversation to start there, or so bluntly. "NanoKlink? what about them?"

"I can hardly believe I'm actually saying this, and to you of all people, but I want to take NanoKlink down. I know you're openly opposed against--" He almost says "us," out of habit, but catches himself, frowning at the reminder of what happened. "--them, and I was hoping to get information that will help ruin them."

Lorne:
River clearly looks incredibly suspicious of Lorne.

Lorne:
"What?! Take NanoKlink down?" River crossed her arms and looked warily at Lorne, moving to block the door. He seemed like he was serious and telling the truth, but that made it all the more worrisome. "I don't know what you've read in tabloids, but I'm not some Team Eco terrorist. I just try to protect the environment and Pokemon. The question is, who are you? Team Eco? Or some NanoKlink spy with a recorder hoping I'm dumb enough to say something stupid? I noticed you didn't use a sixth Pokemon. Think I would recognize it?" she said with authority.

#If Lorne rolls an intuition check of 8 or higher, he'll realize she's talking about the Gengar that possessed her (he would have heard about it on the news/local board)

#phew, cutting these kinda close!

Lorne just laughs softly in response. "'It,' you mean the Pokémon that attacked you?" He stands up to show off his nice, brand new NanoKlink belt with only five Pokéballs. "See? Five Pokémon. That's all I have."

He sits back down and gives her a charming smile to try and help put her at ease. "I understand why you wouldn't trust me, but belive me when I say I have every reason to try and get back at NanoKlink. They ruined my life. I can't stand Team Eco either, so really, you're my only choice."

Lorne:
River sees the belt with an empty Pokeball slot, but still looks suspicious. Without asking permission, she walks over to Lorne sitting on the couch, and quickly pats down his pockets. "Hm." She seemed satisfied about that issue, at least, but Lorne's smile clearly hadn't won her over. But she seemed intrigued. "You have exactly one minute before I call in my trainers to tell me who you are and why you want to take down NanoKlink. And don't even think about lying, because I'll know," she said, eyes fiery. Lorne could tell she meant it.

Jonathan's eyes light up as he hears the instructions. "Brunoise! But they didn't say standard vs. Kalosian...I guess I'll have to do both."

Your challenge begins in 3...2...1...*DING*

He pulls his own knife out of his kit after snorting derisively at the ones provided and begins to dice the onions.

"Let's see...Medium dice is half inch cuts..." He quickly returns to his cooking kit and pulls out a ruler and measures out a half inch, gauges the measurement and then makes the appropriate chops.

Intuition: [result]22&6:1:4:5,4d6,6,22&4d6+6[/result]

"Alright...I'll do the Julienne first. It'll keep my hand in the same position for the brunoise."

He cuts another onion in half, leaving the core in to aide stability and makes vertical cuts in the onion, making matchsticks that were 1/8 of an inch wide.

Intuition: [result]19&4:5:1:3,4d6,6,19&4d6+6[/result]

The other half of the onion gets the same treatment, but after a 90 degree turn, he goes back over the onion and does the same thing, leaving small onion pieces 1/8 of an inch cubed. Jonathan is moving faster and faster. The knife becomes a blur in his hand. The pieces of onion are scraped to the side of the board with the back of his blade in a manner so practiced, he didn't even realize he was doing it.

Intuition: [result]21&4:3:2:6,4d6,6,21&4d6+6[/result]

Jonathan then gets a stick of celery, cuts off the ends and does a Kalosian brunoise. 1/16th of an inch cubed. He takes his time through the lateral cuts, almost lovingly slicing the celery into strands, but coming back the other way, his knife chugs through the celery like a well oiled machine.

Intuition: [result]23&4:4:4:5,4d6,6,23&4d6+6[/result]

Finally, he grabs a handful of basil leaves, rolls them tightly into a packet, and then rolls his knife through them leaving gossamer ribbons where the herb once stood.

Intuition: [result]19&2:3:6:2,4d6,6,19&4d6+6[/result]

"Alright, fine," he replies with a sigh. "I might as well tell you the truth. I've been all over the news this morning, so there's no use hiding it, anyway. I was one of their best salesmen, but I guess it wasn't enough. I didn't do anything, yet they decided to pin the poaching thing on me to save their own hides. I want to make them pay for what they did to me, but unfortunately I wasn't in a high enough position to get any real dirt on them."

#Hahaha isn't telling the truth the opposite of guile? It makes sense here I guess though
