Lorne responds with a sardonic chuckle. "Come back to the company who would throw one of their best employees to the dogs so easily? Hell no. And Mukilcoma... That's just as good as putting a band-aid on a heart attack." He gulps down the rest of his coffee before leaning in closer, speaking in a low, yet still very angry tone. "I'm not even a little bit sorry about what I said, and I'm not going to pretend like I am in order to satisfy the company that may as well have kicked me in the teeth. This is more than me just losing my job. Now everyone's gonna know me as that traitor that supplied Team Eco. If NanoKlink is gonna ruin my good name, I mean to ruin theirs right back." Intimidate: [result]17&3:6:5,3d6,3,17&3d6+3[/result] It's surprising to Lorne that someone would actually try to help him. He's still a little wary about if Humbolt has ulterior personal motives, but whatever the case, Lorne is still going to accept that box. He's too curious to see what it is, and if he doesn't like it, he can always get rid of it. Can't go wrong with free stuff. |

Semira: The shopkeeper calmed down a bit. "Well if I sold it to someone, I wouldn't tell ya, because all transactions here are strictly private. But I didn't sell it, so I can at least tell you that." The man squinted, trying to think if he could remember anything. "Most I know about them is they use some mighty black magic, and they're so powerful at putting people to sleep that they're generally used for...less upstanding practices, let's just say," the man said with a grimace. "That's why they're banned from League battles, not like there are enough of them floating around to matter anyway. Last I heard, the only person left who can make them is a powerful old witch who lives in the mountains near Spoons." Lorne: Humbolt's mustache twitches and he puts up his hands defensively. "Alright, alright. I shouldn't have even asked. Was just trying to help. If you need me you have my number. Hope you at least enjoy the gifts - I know you like a little flair." Humbolt stood up and left, looking down. As Lorne opens the box, he recognizes two cases that can be fit over any Pokeball - prototypes not for sale to the general public yet, and only made by specialist Pokeball crafters. Flash Case A stylish case painted with branching bolts of lightning When a Pokeball with a Flash Case is thrown, it uses the Move Flash originating from the spot where it landed. Flare Case A stylish case painted with red flames When a Pokeball with a Flare Case is thrown and successfully hits a target, the target is burned. #Throwing ranges are 4 + your Athletics rank, and accuracy is a AC(6) status attack. |

Receiving a nice gift does help calm Lorne down a little bit. As he fastens the cases to two of his Great Balls, he thinks a bit more on what Humbolt said. If Lorne actually did sign for this, there's no way he would ever deal with anyone who is even slightly connected to Team Eco. He somewhat remembers the merchandise. If only he could remember the people he's sold it to... Intuition: [result]14&6:6,2d6,2,14&2d6+2[/result] Gen edu: [result]9&4:2,2d6,3,9&2d6+3[/result] |

Ruby leads the Goomy line away, and they eventually find the roots of another berry plant to munch on. "Like that, did you?" Tristan says with a smile. "Well, with me you can have tasty treats all the time. I even know a chef," he says with some emphasis. "What do you think? Want to tag along?" he asks as he offers Goomy a Great Ball. #Assuming I don't have Jon's Pokeballs yet. Charm: [result]20&4:5:5:3,4d6,3,20&4d6+3[/result] |

Lorne: Lorne had only sold a Mech Drill twice - you remember when you're selling something that big, and that expensive. A giant drill with additional extendable drilling arms, powered completely with clean Pokemon energy! Electric types could be loaded into the bottom to power the drill. The demo he gave had a row of 5 Plusles and Minuns, all bobbing their heads happily as they charged away. It was one of his better marketing ploys. One went to a contractor in Mukilcoma who was helping with construction on their new port. A hardened, weathered man - very grumpy, he remembered. The other...for some reason he couldn't remember its purpose, but he definitely remembered the people. There had been a kind of...greasy looking man with a large nose, who he distinctly remembered for how annoying his nasally voice was. But there was also a woman Lorne didn't forget - she looked like she could have been a high fashion super model in Castelia City. Tall, just the right amount of curves, penetrating purple eyes, and long white hair pulled into a ponytail. And from conversing with her (especially compared to the man), he quickly realized she was intelligent and well spoken to boot. Semira: When you arrive at the gym, the crowds are cheering. It looks like a battle just started. When you approach, you realize Kylar from the night before is battling her! |

6AM: Jonathan wakes to a really stiff neck and a message from Ziggy letting him know how he wants his pokeballs styled. Thought so. I'll give the metal a nice rough-hewn finish and inlay a few music notes into the top. He'll love them. 8 AM: <<Ziggy. They're all done. If you're still around the pokecenter, I'm going to be in room 2A. Otherwise, you can pick them up when next you see me. -Jonathan Sent from my pokedex >> Jonathan makes a small breakfast for everyone and then makes his way to the Battle Needle to see about competing in the food battle. |
