#Back in time a bit On his way out, Ziggy asks River "Sooo I know you are good with pokemon and I was wondering if you could help me out with something... Metalhead is a great pokemon in battle and really gets out there but I'm worried he goes a little too hard and I want him to relax a bit... can you help out with that at all?" Ziggy smiles Charm:[result]15&4:1:2:2,4d6,6,15&4d6+6[/result] #Looking to change his nature to relaxed |

Tristan nods along as River talks, agreeing. "I've heard of Snover before, and they're definitely worth looking into; Rock/Grass types too. Though you're right, I can't think of any extant examples. A Fire/Grass type... Now that would be something to behold! I've never heard of anything like that before. You'll be certain I'll keep an eye out." "You know, a Rock-type move would be really effective against Fire, Flying, Ice, AND Bug types. But I don't think my Pokémon can learn any moves like that..." Tristan says a little sullenly. "Any recommendations?" "Oh, and what I really meant to ask you about was more your training style than anything else. Do you use any supplements or tools to help you? Any techniques to share that might be useful in training my own Pokémon? I'm not really much of a battler to be honest, I think my typing was just lucky for this Gym. It's strategies to help them grow more beautiful and capable that really interest me." Charm: [result]22&3:3:6:4:1,5d6,5,22&5d6+5[/result] (+1 AP, included) |

Ziggy: "You want to relax him a bit? Sure, I can help you with that. Why don't you entertain yourself with the aquarium for five, and I'll be right back." River strolls outside with Magnemite floating behind her. As Ziggy waits by the glass, he would see there are all sorts of Pokemon in the water that he hadn't caught yet... Soon enough, River returned with Magnemite - he did certainly look more mellow. "I know you said 'relaxed,' but we both decided together on something close that we thought would be fitting." #Metalhead is now Patient #Ziggy gets a nature change for free since he had to fight the broken ass can't miss Octillery, whoops "I noticed your Pokemon are also trained musicians," River said, in a friendly chatty mood that day. "That's very smart of you to use their sonic moves to your advantage. You know...there is one water Pokemon known for its beautiful voice..." |

Semira: As someone who grew up in Spoons, Semira instantly recognized the name "Death's-Head Venonat" when Professor Fir said it. There were many supernatural beliefs about the Pokemon. Some said that its appearance was an omen that someone was about to die. Others said an appearance by the Venonat was actually a recently deceased spirit visiting the living. But lore aside, Semira would know the particular biology of this Venonat would make it an expert ghost hunter. Over a long time, these Venonats had become adapted to the ghost-rich environment around Spoons. The creatures that could best spot ghosts with their amazing vision were more likely to eat and reproduce, selecting for ghost-seeing Venonats. It was a marvelous factoid of Pokemon biology that not many people outside of Spoons knew about. Lorne: The Scyther halted in mid air and listened intently at Lorne's commanding voice. It seemed Lorne had successfully asserted his dominance - the bug stopped zipping around and gave him a little salute and nod, then flew into the Pokeball obediently. |

Ziggy: "Well, I shouldn't get your hopes up. They're very rare...they're called Lapras. They have a beautiful, sad song that anyone would be lucky to hear. I heard it once in the distance when I was Wailmer watching out in the waters north of Spoons. I didn't see it, though I know they like to live in cold caves that you can swim into. Maybe if you keep an eye out you'll get lucky." A couple of minutes after Ziggy posts the ad, he received a text back. <I have a calm Ferrothorn available for trade, good egg moves too. Hard to find in this part of Kadia. You can find me at my booth in Pika Place Market, I'll be here until 5pm Hugo Hugo's Exotic Plants> |

"Hmmm, that does sounds like a very specific habitat" Ziggy said, trying to sound smart to impress River. Edu. General: [result]10&5:5,2d6,0,10&2d6[/result] "I'll keep an eye out for them. If I'm near Spoons I'll have to get a boat and look around" Ziggy thanks River and makes his way out. Then he notices the text about the pokemon... <Sounds great! I'll be there shortly!> Ziggy speed walks down to Pika Place Market. Athletics: [result]12&1:4:6,3d6,1,12&3d6+1[/result] |

Now that that business is settled, Lorne decides to see if he can find any useful information on this "Rainshadow Drillers" company. He does a quick search, figuring if anything he could at least learn the basics. Gen edu: [result]13&6:4,2d6,3,13&2d6+3[/result] Tech edu: [result]11&6:2,2d6,3,11&2d6+3[/result] |

Tristan: "Hmm...Exeggcute can learn Ancient Power and Rollout. I did once teach Ancient Power to a Chikorita and a Tangela...And Cherubi can be taught Rollout... You know, you could always just get a Bonsly. Is a rock that looks like a plant close enough?" River suggested with a laugh. "As for training style...no, no supplements or tricks, really. I just focus on being a well rounded trainer who seeks out new experiences. I try to better myself and learn as much as I can, and that turns into things I can teach my Pokemon. The more you learn, the more you can help unlock your Pokemon's true potential," she said with a smile. Ziggy: Ziggy arrives at Pika Place Market in no time, a spring in his step after his awesome morning. Not only did he discover he won a badge and had a shiny new Yanmega to ride around on, but he was about to get the perfect Pokemon to round out his team. He weaved through the crowds of people in the market, taking in the sights and sounds. Finally he found the booth labeled Hugo's Exotic Plants. A young, very attractive man with blond hair and an impeccable, expensive looking outfit was manning the booth, looking incredibly grumpy and hung over. A Cacnea sat on the table making goofy faces, trying to cheer him up. Edited by Jennifurret, Nov 25 2014, 01:44 AM.
