Kylar follows Semira to the cafe, still being mindful of locating Cascade. "Sorry, Sami. I appreciate the compliment, but I have a girlfriend back home." Kylar shows the dex to Semira with Mandy's photo. "I am dead serious about the ghost pokemon, we just need to find Cascade. I haven't caught a glimpse of her yet though." Kylar sits down and like a typical kid his age goes right to his dex and starts sending messages. <Ziggy> Hey broseph. I'm over at Rainshadow Gym. I may need your help with a job. Possible NanoKlink involvement. Respond ASAP. <Jonathan and Tristan> Hey guys. I have encountered some issues at the Gym. For the time being, don't come here. Once i have more details, i'll advise. We may have possible NanoKlink involvement. Stay sharp. It wasn't Ziggy or Kylar's new companions' jobs to help him, but he would be crazy to think they weren't valuable to him and he could certainly use the help. Ziggy was charming and a talker, Jon was a bit of a techy and entrepreneur, and Tristan... well Tristan was Tristan. Kylar hadn't quite found Tristan's sweet spot, but he was growing on him. This new girl, a photographer. Could be very beneficial for recon in Kylar's grand scheme to take down NanoKlink. |

Walking toward Hugo’s Exotic Plants, Tristan took Hugo in one piece at a time. His style was aggressively fashion-forward, and he’d heard that people from Kadia had a reputation for being “edgy” and “alternative”. The style really worked for Hugo though, that much was clear. As Tristan approached, he could tell that Hugo had a discerning eye; he was clearly laughing to himself about the fashion choices of some passersby in much the way Tristan himself would. Approaching the table slowly, Tristan caught Hugo looking him up and down. Rather than be shy or embarrassed, Tristan instead gave Hugo a wry smile. Hugo would know Tristan had caught him looking, but that he was possibly receptive.
Tristan wasn’t offended. The two of them had different aesthetics, and were true to them. Style was less about what you wore and more about how it was all put together. These Pokemon weren’t exactly his preferred choices, but it was obvious Hugo had chosen them with care. The bad boy look was good on him, too. It reminded Tristan all too much of his last boyfriend, back in Castelia City. The one who charmed him into selling a little Budew bud on the side, which led to the business’s eventual closure. But damn, if it wasn’t irresistible. A mischievous look crosses Tristan’s face, and he looks Hugo very purposefully up and down. “I wouldn’t discount the classics,” he begins smoothly, keeping his gaze cool and a small smile on his face. “They’re classics for a reason, after all.” Cordelia was looking up at him for a sign of how to act, and she seemed to take a cue from his calm passivity here. Deftly, she hops from the ground to Hugo’s table, and then to Tristan’s shoulder, looking demurely from behind her blooms at the Cacnea across the table. At the same time, Ruby floated down to the table itself, losing her natural shyness in the presence of so many fascinating new Grass Pokemon. She moved close to a terrarium containing a tiny mass of blue fronds that seemed to drift softly, as if a breeze were passing through. Pressing herself against its glass, she became suddenly startled when the blue fronds moved with out warning toward her, revealing a pair of eyes lairing somewhere deep in their folds. A Tangela. Suppressing a small laugh that only made his smile slightly wider, Tristan looks from Ruby to the Tangela and then back to Hugo. “You have some nice looking Pokemon here. Their trainer isn’t half-bad either. Did you raise them yourself?” Charm: [result]14&3:3:3:1,4d6,4,14&4d6+4[/result] (+1 Trainer AP) Intuition (To be suave): [result]13&4:2:4,3d6,3,13&3d6+3[/result] Perception: [result]10&1:2:4,3d6,3,10&3d6+3[/result] General Education (Checking out the care of his plants and for the odds and ends on the table): [result]16&3:3:3:4,4d6,3,16&4d6+3[/result] |

Ziggy: As Ziggy returns to Gasworks Arboretum, he notices the girl with the mint green hair that Jonathan had been battling earlier. She was sitting down at the edge of the water, looking delighted to be sitting in the drizzling rain on this warm day. Kylar & Semira: When Semira walks into the gym, she's initially struck by just how cool it looks. The bottom level has a huge glass wall that's completely under the water level of the bay, showing all sorts of Water Pokemon floating by. But after being in the building for a couple sends, she starts to get some serious heebie jeebies, a wave of goosebumps flashing across her arms. It was an unmistakable feeling to Semira - there was definitely the energy of some sort of powerful spirit in the room. After sitting in the cafe for a moment, you finally see Cascade walking through the room with her Psyduck waddling behind her (how could someone miss those long bright blue pigtails?). She spots you before you even have to call her over. "Kylar! Sorry, I was feeding chum to the Gym Pokemon out back. Any progress?" She offered a hand for the new red headed girl to shake. "I'm Cascade, Head Gym Trainer. Are you hear to help River?" #Semira has to take a photo of something to be able to see the results of either lens you bought - she won't see anything looking through the lens like normal, it's only when the photo's taken. But they can be fluff photos, not necessarily the ones you spend AP on. If you describe what she's taking a photo of and with what lens, I'll reply with what the photo looks like |

Jonathan: Phyllis's ember bounces off the Goomy's goo ineffectually. Rambo connects with its zap, but the slug's gooey body seems to dissipate the damage (not very effective). "Focus!" Clover yells (Focus Training on Goomy). Goomy retaliates, blasting Rambo with its blue dragon fire. Dragon Breath AC(2): [result]11&10,1d20,1,11&1d20+1[/result] Dragon Special: [result]30&2:3,2d8,25,30&2d8+25[/result] Lombre is just barely hanging in there, the rain being the only thing keeping him upright (Rain Dish). It sends a wave of bubbles at Phyllis. Bubblebeam AC(2): [result]11&11,1d20,0,11&1d20[/result] Water Special: [result]50&4:5:8:5,4d10,28,50&4d10+28[/result] The burn still rages, and for a second it looks like the Lombre is going to faint for sure...but he barely hangs in there! |

Jonathan: #Oops, didn't realize Rambo paralyzes Goomy. Paralysis check: [result]14&14,1d20,0,14&1d20[/result] #Goomy can attack if 5 or higher At the end of its turn, the Goomy basks in the rain, and seems to be cured of its paralysis. Hydration "At the end of the User’s turn, if the weather is Rainy, the user is cured of one Status Condition." |

Now that this Remoraid has finally been captured, Lorne's next line of business is to get cleaner clothes. Before he does anything else, he feels that strong need to go home and shower. After all, he might go out later, and there's no chance he's going to meet new people smelling like a fish. |

Rambo begins charging again. Jonathan recalls Phyllis halfway through her getting stung by all those bubbles. "Ack! This is a friendly battle!" Alright then. If we're going to play that way, we'll play that way. "Okay, Buttercup! Let's see what you've got! Defense Curl!" Buttercup rolls herself into a ball, preparing herself for her next attack. |

Tristan:
Hugo purses his lips, clearly holding back because he found Tristan so cute. "I suppose...Though I've personally never found the classics quite as...exciting." He watches as Ruby explored his table, and let out a little snort as she was startled. "See? The element of surprise." He bent down to get a better look at the little Floette. "Though I have to respect you keeping one of these buggers around. They're great for gardens. I would have caught one too, if I didn't have so many Dark types...they don't play nice." Tristan would clearly recall all he had to go through to even find the Flabebe - that was probably the real reason why Hugo didn't have one.
A slightly smug smile crept across Hugo's face - he clearly liked the compliments, and the fact that this conversation was about him. "These particular breeds are hard to raise in captivity. Weird diets for the carnivores, and the fungi..." His eye rolls said everything about trying to grow that in captivity. "I have to harvest them at the right time in the wild - only selecting the best, of course - and then I spruce them up a bit before sale." "But my real expertise is collecting useful "ingredients" from my own Pokemon," he said, waving at the non-Pokemon trinkets on the table. Now that Tristan was close enough to get a better look, he could clearly recognize some of the wares: Vials of Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Poison Powder, Bright Powder, and a particularly nasty looking purple poison; Revival Herbs and Energy Roots; mushrooms of every shape and size, many that he did not recognize, and some nasty looking spikes and barbs that looked like they came from Pokemon, but were meant as held items now. Lorne: Lorne pops out of the shower, feeling much better and much less fishy. As he gets dressed, he notices his Pokedex has a message from work: Know it's your day off, but a new prototype just got approved for release. Can you stop by? |

"I guess so? I actually never got the name of the person I'm supposed to help, teehee. I'm Semira. You're not the one who's haunted, right? If you are, then I'll help you out too." She smiles. Semira quickly brings her camera up and takes a shot of Cascade and her Psyduck using the Psionic Lens. #I'm going to use an AP for this one anyway to add it to the album |

Lorne reads the message with a sigh, but he doesn't have anything better to do at the moment. Besides, he's too ambitious to just say no, so he quickly replies to the message, "I'm on my way." After checking himself in the mirror one last time, he makes his way over to the NanoKlink headquarters to check out this new prototype. |
