Rainshadow City - "The Emerald of the North" The largest city in northern Kadia. Its downtown is dotted with skyscrapers, yet the city still seems very integrated with nature. Trees line the streets, the greenery giving the city it's motto, and the winding water can be seen from all parts of the down. The looming Kadian mountain range to the east is gorgeous in the distance...if you can see it. The city is frequently lost in clouds and drizzle, and it's people can be a bit introverted and introspective. Though the city is home to a number of creative types, being a tech center for nerds and tinkerers as well as a mecca for bohemians and hippies. Notable People Key Locations PokeMart

The western exit of Prospect Pass wasn't as brightly lit as they expected. As the group got closer they realized that it was lightly raining, the sun obscured by fluffy gray clouds. But in a way, the rain was a relief. The whole group looked worse for wear, caked in dirt and covered in scrapes and bruises. The rain felt refreshing. The tall buildings of the city loomed in a gray haze, half obscured by the mist. But in an eerie way it made it even more beautiful. "Cadet Stern!" A man slightly older than Kylar in a Ranger's Uniform approached. He seemed to be the only trainer near the entrance of the pass. "Please report. Did you find any evidence related to the poachers or the stolen Pokemon?" |

Kylar pauses to let the rain splash against his face, but is abruptly interrupted by his fellow Ranger. "Sir, yes I did, I was able to locate the four missing pokemon." Kylar hand the two pokeballs to the Ranger and he hands the two rescue balls containing the other two. "Sir, it is a funny thing about the poachers. I had both of em," Kylar calmly omits the third member, "you see, I um, well there was this large drill and the other was a telekinetic, I know I know, you don't believe me, but sir, I'm serious." Kylar appears flustered, but it's part of the ploy to keep Ziggy out of jail. "Sir, well they had a drill mech and you see they just...they were mining the Pass for shards and evolutionary stones. I have never seen technology like this mech. Do you think NanoKlink could be involved." #successful first mission |

The Ranger looks seriously impressed as Kylar hands over all four missing Pokemon, and listens intently. "Calm down boy, I believe you. Telekinetics are rare, but they're enriched among criminals, I tell you," he grumbles. "But what's this about them mining for evolutionary stones? And NanoKlink...? How is this all connected to their Pokemon poaching? Where are they now?" |

The Ranger finally seems to notice Tristan, Jonathan, and Ziggy. Phoebe had left separately. "And who are these trainers? Did you all see the poachers? You look like you were in a pretty nasty fight." |

"Sir, I ran into these three inside the Pass during the investigation. Ziggy I've known for years, and the other two are outta towner's. I found them under duress from the drill mech I described. They helped me disable it. They will be happy to answer our questions." Kylar continues to explain, "The poachers escaped, but the drill had markings. Markings very similar to the NanoKlink logo." Jonathan inhales deeply the sweet open air as they exit the cave. He lets Billy out of his pokeball to frolic in the mist for a little bit. The Skiddo rolls in the grass for a while. >>"And who are these trainers? Did you all see the poachers? You look like you were in a pretty nasty fight." Jonathan feels a not so gentle elbow in his solar plexus before he can say anything. >>"Sir, I ran into these three inside the Pass during the investigation. Jonathan pipes up, "We were able to find a large amount of NanoKlink technology." |

"Interesting...though they could have always bought the equipment, or stolen it..." he pondered. "Well Cadet, I don't want to keep you or these trainers any longer. It's clear you've all been through a lot. Please interview these individuals and include it in your report, and be sure to note the location of the drill so we can investigate it further. We can't let these poachers get away, for the good of the public," he said with a nod to the rest of the group. "There's a PokeCenter on the edge of the city, you can't miss it if you just walk straight in. Job well done on your first mission, Cadet Stern." 1 Misc EXP to Kylar for completing his mission! |

All of your Pokedexes start to vibrate wildly in unison. You finally have reception again after exiting the cave, and the Local Board for Rainshadow City is swarming with posts and requests. There are too many messages to read them all, but there's a search function if you want to look for anything in particular. #If you have anything you want to accomplish, the Local Board is a good place to look if there's not a more obvious location already described. For example if your goal was to make some extra cash, trade Pokemon, find a move tutor, yadda yadda...this is where I can make up mini quests. Not a requirement to use it, but a tool if you want to do something and want me to provide a way to do it |
