Hmm, so the children have the courage to fight as well. Mistakes have been made with rockets fighting children in the past; the obvious solution would be to break their spirits before they can become a thorn.

With a flick of his finger, Doctor Moon turned on his phone's *Auto_Gloat.exe* to continue his speech as he moved to confront the guards moving onto the stage. The obvious targets, naturally. A quick toss of his pokeball summoned a small, floating magnet pokemon stage left. A Magnemite, who's fine-tuned magnetic field distorted the camera feed around his location. With but a single order, "Bruno, shock!", its eye locked onto and glared at the guardian Swellow of the stage, launching a blast of electricity to send its wings into a spasm.

Bruno's Thunder Wave
Accuracy: Thunder wave cannot miss.
Effect: The target is Paralyzed

But before he could do the same to the flaming beast on the right, the Clefable scientist noticed a tiny Meowth on the car's rear-fiew cameras. A well-known pet mascot of Team Rocket, and it didn't seem too interested in the fight at hand. This bore a unique opportunity; perhaps this one could be reasoned with. A turn of coats would make for a fabulous display on the camera.

"Clefaaaaaable."
("Poor thing. It's awful loud out here, isn't it.")

"Clefaable? Clef!"
("Why don't you come inside the car and sit this fight out? Doctor Moon has many shiny coins for you to play with!")

Doctor Moon's Meowth Channel/Disposition Check

Channel Check: Meowth appears non-hostile at the moment, no check needed.
Disposition Raising Check: [result]12&4:6:1,3d6,1,12&3d6+1[/result]+1 AP

Even as the fighting began, the speakers continued to blare and taunt the fleeing crowd.

"To protect world from devastation!"

"To Unite all people within nation..."

Oh, the chaos.

The beautiful, BEAUTIFUL chaos.

Echo wore a large grin on her face as everything exploded into panic around them, and had to restrain herself from laughing. She pocketed the stolen pokeball, scooped up the pokeball at her feet, and returned the Cleffa to its pokeball before having it join its friend. "Keep 'em busy for a few seconds while this thing charges up!" She called, popping an empty Pokeball into the Snag Machine and tightening her fingers around it. The light turned from red to yellow, the conversion process begun.

"Confuse big, red, and fussy over there, will ya?" Kat took aim once more, this time at the dangerous Arcanine, and once more let loose the sickly purple ray. If all went as planned (for her), the Arcanine would do her job FOR her and take out itself, or even its trainer! That'd be a story to tell! "Doc, you think you can handle the chicken?" It's assumed she was referring to the Swellow.

Diana, who had jumped out with the other girls, threw out her new pokeball. Arcanine was her perceived biggest threat, and she pointed her new pretty purple snake towards it. "Paralyze the dog with your glare!"

"Bruno can handle fry cookery, Doctor Moon is busy making friends."

Doctor Moon particularly liked the tactic of converting the enemy's monsters against their will. If a trainer was too weak to command their pokemon, it was a hole that the Clefable was proud to exploit. Snagging was fine, but when one can turn others to the dark side by words alone the taste of victory was that much sweeter. What made it more effective, however, was the disturbing sincerity of those words.

"Cleeef. Clefable."

It helps to speak in a more common language.

The meowth perks up as it is spoken to, calmly this time. He walks towards the clefairy, mostly for conversation, but before it gets a chance to speak it is converted into red energy and returned to its pokeball. "No, you will NOT brainwash my poor pokemon, fiend!" Jenny declares before running up on Diana for an attempted disable.

Jenny's Grapple:
Struggle Attack AC 4: 6
Jenny vs Diana Combat check: 24
If Jenny's combat check is higher, Diana is stuck and trapped
At the north end of the stage, after the murkrow's wing attack, the treecko it landed against had been knocked unconcious. Before he could hit the ground, though, it was returned to its ball and in one fluid motion, the ninja trainer clipped the ball to her belt and grabbed another. This was not a pokeball, however. When this marble-sized ball connected with the stage it burst in 3 cubic foot column of smoke which engulfed the ninja, making it impossible to see even her neon green hair.

Meanwhile, the swellow fails to do anything more than twitch uncomfortably, in response its trainer reaches into his belt and, after pulling out a yellow potion, cures his pokemon of its paralysis.

The arcanine manages to shake through both his paralysis and confusion and dig into the ekans that just glared at it with huge flaming fangs.

Doctor Moon was rather upset. You see, he was rather fine with stealing pokemon, and even failing to steal pokemon who were passionate about defending their trainers from pokemon theft. But when it came to winning a game of diplomatic chess only for the other side to cheat him out of a new friend, well.... that didn't sit very well.

All he saw in the rear camera was Jenny standing smugly with a grin of satisfaction. Then the fires of the engine, as the car jaunted a bit forward, then into a full reverse towards the innocent guard. A single bump marked the hit, and a speed bump from the rear stage wall brought the car to a stop shortly after. Not too big of an issue or the car; the rockets built this vehicle more than durable enough to take down a collapsible temporary stage furnishing. If it weren't for the light shrieking from outside he wouldn't have even felt it.

And then the airbag deployed and smashed the Clefable Doctor in the face. These safety features really weren't designed for someone his size.

Doctor Moon's Improvised Heavy Slam
Accuracy(2): 12
Damage: [result]39&9:11:4,3d12,15,39&3d12+15[/result]
Recoil: 1/3rd damage

Meanwhile, Bruno responds to the guard's feeble attempt at curing his pokemon by sending another wave of paralyzing electric energy at the bird. Bruno doesn't like it when his attacks are ignored.

Bruno's Thunder Wave
Accuracy: Thunder wave cannot miss.
Effect: The target is Paralyzed

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Though the audio distorted on the car's impact, its twisted recording continued to chill the spines of the crowd.

"To denounce Evils of Truth and Love,"

"To extend our reach to stars above!"

"Doctor Moon!" "Codename Echo" "Call me Diana" "Zana Tolvak, and that's a she"

...Mental Note: Talk to Moon about making that last announcement less...Shitty. Still, the car slam was HILARIOUS! Echo couldn't help but laugh as she heard that officer's scream; at least it meant she was ALIVE, so there's one less thing they had to worry about later. You gotta hate those pesky 'rules' when they got in the way of a good time.

The Swellow didn't seem like much, but that Arcanine...Well, one didn't just 'shake off' confusion and paralysis like that. Echo grinned, the light on her glove turning from yellow to green. "Slap it around with Wing Attack." She ordered, her Zubat swooping in with surprising speed and doing exactly that, dealing a surprisingly powerful blow with her little wings. A little to the left and she might've dealt even MORE damage. Never underestimate the little ones.

"Keep it alive, girls! Let's bring back a present!" The snagger, FINALLY able to actually SNAG something, took her chance, throwing the-Shit, was that a great ball instead of a pokeball? Well, at least she could make another one back at base. Liz really needed to start looking before just popping in balls willy-nilly. Regardless, through the chaos she threw, and her hit landed true.

And now, the shake wait.

Zana grinned as Murkrow took out the Treecko in a single hit - they'd make a good team after all. The twerp with the green hair disappeared, but Zana already took out her starter so she wasn't concerned. She laughed at the ridiculous sight of a Clefable-driven hovercraft ramming into the guard, but had to cringe when she heard the lyrics. Not only did Dr. Moon just announce her full name to the crowd, but it vaguely sounded like she was secretly a dude or something.

Focus. It looked like Echo had her eyes on that beautiful Arcanine, so Zana turned her attention to the Swellow. "Murkrow, hunt down that inferior bird!"

Diana jumped away from Jenny, about to run the other direction, when the large vehicle slammed in to her. Her eyes went wide. She almost became road kill just now. "Hey, watch where you're going!" she yelled at the strange doctor.

The ekans cries out in pain; it can't take another hit like that. Diana called out instructions, which it promptly followed. "Fall back and snipe at it from afar!"

The arcanine howls violently as it is enveloped by the dark purple energy of the snag ball and the guard's gasp and curse. "How did she-?!" questions one, "Damn, Team Rocket!" swears another.

The ball stops shaking just before the guard who was commanding the Arcanine aims a strange looking gun at Kat. When he fires, two darts shoot forward and dig into the zubat. He then presses a button on the device, sending an electric current into the zubat.

Guard's Taser against Kat the zubat
AC 6 Struggle: 14
Allow use of Thunder wave as swift action upon connecting

Thunder Wave cannot miss.
Paralyzes target.

The swellow across the stage takes a hard hit from the murkrow, barely still standing, but it raises its wing, which shimmers like metal before it comes comes down on the murkrow's head, a cracking sound reverberating through the air. As the blow lands and audible SHINGK! can be heard as a flash of light caresses the swellow.
