*Alright the moment you have been waiting for Sand and Tides!!! The island of cinnibar, a bustling port city. the docks are full of people and pokemon. there is trading of good going on, ships unloading there cargo, children running about the cobble stone streets. In port there are 4 gallons, the reaver, the cutter, the ship, and the wraith. A young man with vivid blue hair is being thrown of a ship for being a stowaway. captain/ DONT EVER STEP FOOT ON MY BLOODY SHIP AGAIN YOU LITTLE BLUE HIRED MAGGOT!! A red hair lady is walking gracefully through out the streets with a helm under her arms. she doesnt seem to be paying attention to the hussle and bussle of daily life. on the street corner near the ships a juggler is entertaining the local youths and fencing money from unsuspecting bystanders as the children laugh and point to him as he runs a game that involves picking the shell that a stone is under in a tavern we find a regal looking man having a drink and making conversation about nothing in particular with a few of the other costumers. on the edge of the port there is a figure looking at the events as they transpire. a grin crosses his face. "Truly? You dare proclaim you have seen Kyogre with your own two eyes?" Dart couldn't help but be intrigued by the sailor's tales, and he approaches the bar he's sat at. "That is quite the claim you're making! Bartender! A drink for the both of us, if you wouldn't mind. This could be interesting." With that, he takes one of the empty seats and listens with full attention. If the man'd be lying, it would be obvious to tell... would it not? Spoiler: click to toggle

Hook, line, and drinker! Norman downed one of the pints in but an instant, preparing a more grim voice for this particular tale. Switching from scary stories to sad stories, had to get the right mood. "Aye, you ever hear the myth of how its bad luck to strike down a mermaid in open waters? Its common to almost ev'ry region on the continent. Sailors in Sinnoh avoid th' Milotic, and down south in Hoenn they have Gorebyss. Ya can thank your spirits they don't have any merkin in the Kanto straight; them creatures are nothing but bad luck. The gods like 'em too much." "My last crew, we were reaping the riches from a black flag vessel down by the cliffs of Evergrande. As we were scouring the loot we had made a discovery in their hold; a Gorebyss with scales brighter than gold, and with eyes brighter than gemstones. Thing was kept in a tank with too sick of water, likely made some spirits upset. During our fight we found it odd that the vessel didn't move. It was beached on the shore and trapped behind a rock, almost as if something wanted us to win the skirmish. Just to save that poor thing." "I'd have gotten it to the water as soon as I'd seen it... if I were the first to do so. I was having a... chat... with the captain at the time, so the helmsman led the crew to the lower reaches. It was a fast-rolling stormcloud that told me something was wrong, and by the time I reached the bottom deck the creature was already long gone. Shipmates gutted it for the scales. Worse than killed... no. Desecrated." "We left the helmsman in the wreckage, hoping to get ta the nearest port and make amends to the church. He ordered the execution and we hoped the spirits would go after him and leave us be. But we were wrong. Soon as we entered the deep waters... HE emerged. Larger than a bulbus Wailord, teeth sharper than a dragon, and a glare that pierced straight to your soul. He had the helmsman's head stuck in his teeth, and every time he jumped over the ship he took another for his collection. Eventually he got sick of us dodging his blows, did a huge jump and crushed the ship in twain." "I don't know what happened after that; mast came down on my head as I was steering and I was out cold. But when I awoke, twas only me in the wreckage of the boat. And the corpses of my crew staining the ocean crimson. In that time, the wreckage drifted quite an amazing distance. The next port I wound up at... was this one. Almost as if I was given the boot from the region by its king. Well now I'm without a boat, a crew, and without all my gold, so I don't think I'll be testing whether or not he means it. But I shudder to think what would 'ave made him spare only me from the wreckage." |
