Ziggy walks onto the stage. This is it, Ziggy thinks. This is where it starts, he could feel it. Of course the real start was a long time ago... He remembers that ice cream shop like it was yesterday. On the right, the man in the hat dishing out Pokane's finest frozen treats bringing in all the local kids. On the left, a growing mob of satiated and sticky kids enjoying some relief from the summer heat. In the back was 12 year old Ziggy, he had finally got his guitar a couple months ago and never put it down. His mom had to yell at him not to hold it at the dinner table, sometimes it even worked. That first time he was nervous, it was tough to admit but he was. When he cautiously started to play and saw the look on the crowds faces he was hooked, for life... Focus: [result]17&3:4:5,3d6,5,17&3d6+5[/result] Now he looks out at the crowd in front of him, a different crowd he thinks and laughs. This time he isn't nervous, he knows he is ready. Not only that, he has a few tricks up his sleeves nobody has even seen yet. It's always good to have a surprise in reserve, that was one thing he learned from all those shows. He spots Kylar in the crowd with Mandy and smiles. Good for him, the guy could certainly use it. Maybe it will even relax him a little. Tristan and Jonathan seemed like they were both nailing it. Now he just needed to finish this night up. Intuition: [result]9&3:1,2d6,5,9&2d6+5[/result] Ziggy looked around him, the stage was dark like he asked the technicians. Ziggy always made a point to schmooze the technicians, you are at their mercy on stage. He saw his pokemon waiting in their places on stage. Everything was set. Command [result]20&2:5:3:5,4d6,5,20&4d6+5[/result] It starts with a synthetic beat from Metalhead in the dark. It continues, alone, and grows more complex... bass coming in stronger... In comes the guitar and a spotlight appears. Whether it is for him or because they are recognizing the song is unclear. Opening song Ziggy leaps into the air, continuing to play. Athletics [result]7&3:3:1,3d6,0,7&3d6[/result] He moves into the vocals, and he sees people singing along. Ziggy knew an old classic like this would play well in an older crowd. The lights go up on the whole band and they kick it into overdrive. Finally, comes the big scream... whismur takes the center stage while Metalhead plays the beat.... "WWWWWWWWWWWWWWHIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" the scream seems to go on forever as Ziggy guitar solos with everything he's got and the crowd just cheers. Charm: [result]14&3:1:5,3d6,5,14&3d6+5[/result] |

Kylar, Tristan, Ziggy: It was a classic, but it was a right classic. Ziggy knew what his crowd would like. From the moment the first notes start, the crowd is already hooked. People from the back tables quickly finish up their main course (though everyone was murmuring about how delicious it was, especially that amazing flatbread) so they can dance. Good thing Tristan left room. Ziggy is clearly focused, nailing his notes, nailing his guitar solo, even nailing his jump. But when Whismur lets out that everlasting scream (a Pokemon that could do circular screaming sure was useful), the crowd goes nuts. You notice half the VIP table is boogying along in their chairs, Gertrude singing along loudly. Even Loretta Steel has an approving smile on her face, when she's not sipping a glass of wine. Mandy leans in toward Kylar and Tristan. "Wow, he's gotten good!" Jonathan: The last desserts are ready to be shipped out, and the waitresses are taking them out. You can hear Ziggy nailing it, even though the walls. You can probably scrounge up some food for yourself and head out to watch at this point. |

#Between checking for quality and idle snacking, a chef is never hungry by the end of a big thing like this. And there is always enough for the wait staff. ALWAYS. Jonathan removes his apron and reties his bandana to look more presentable and heads out into the main hall. He stays up against the wall by the doors or, if an empty seat is available at a small, out of the way table, he sits there. |

The tune wasn't exactly in style, but Tristan had to admit he'd picked the right song for the crowd. He even started grooving in his seat a little bit. Finishing up his food, he got up to dance. He'd had enough desert today already and couldn't even imagine eating more, despite how good it would likely be. "Mandy, Kylar? Are you guys up for a dance?" he asked, smiling. "Join me!" he said, going out to the growing crowd. Not only could he keep an eye on how things were going better from this vantage point, but dancing was fun by itself. It'd been a while since he had gone to a show like this; most of the ones he went to were inside events at a club or something. The night air was refreshing. Jonathan saw Tristan, Kylar, and some girl go up front and start dancing. He rolled his eyes and turned his eyes back to the stage. |

#edit: assume my post is before Jonathan's. Took some time to write ![]() Ziggy was grinning from ear to ear. "Thank you! Thank you! It's just so great to be here tonight! First I want to thank Alfred Peabody for inviting me out tonight... lets give him a hand folks!"(audience claps). Ziggy points his arm at the old man, the spotlight shifts to him, and Mr. Peabody blushes a little. "I'm so glad to be opening for Lady Flash, isn't she great? Who's excited to hear her later?" (audience roars wildly) Ziggy didn't care if Lady Flash didn't like him, or would be best described by fairly impolite words for women. He is a god damn mother fucking professional, and he was going to be the best damn opener he could. "I want to make sure to thank a couple more people, so I won't wait until the end" "First, Tristan McNair for setting up this lovely venue for me to play in" Ziggy points and the spotlight finds a new uncomfortable victim. "My good friends and essential entourage Kylar and Mandy!" The spotlight catches them almost kissing. "Haha, have a great night you two!". "I want to thank Jonathan Amber for making this lovely food I'm watching you all eat!" The audience laughs. He may have a hard time hearing us so lets all say "Thank you Jonathan Amber!" on three... one... two... THREE. The area roared with the semi-coordinated chant of the audience. Jonathan looks up confused, trying to finish up. "I want to thank my band!" Ziggy steps back and points with both arms (clapping) Ziggy started to idly play some notes... they were going somewhere... but it was hard to say where "Now, to introduce myself." The strumming picks up" I'm Ziggy" Song two Edited by Trax, Jul 14 2014, 10:02 PM.

"Thank you! Thank you! One more song before I'm off! It's such a lovely summer Kadian sunset! I'll play us a little lullaby to welcome in the evening" Ziggy plays some soft gentle ambient notes as the sunset slowly fades in a long trance for several minutes. The crowd seems to be mellowing out a little. Ziggy smirks "Haha, just kidding" the guitar makes a record scratching sound and the final song begins Final Song Charm: [result]16&2:3:5,3d6,6,16&3d6+6[/result] Focus: [result]19&3:5:6,3d6,5,19&3d6+5[/result] |

As Ziggy starts to really nail the second song, the lighting guys totally have his back. They project an ominous purple Gengar that makes Ziggy glow bright purple. It's not exactly this crowd's typical music, but Ziggy got them so worked up that they're clearly digging it (that and the alcohol is kicking in). Tristan notices that Loretta Steel is particularly into this one, bobbing her head a little to the beat. Jonathan notices that there's still another empty seat next two where Tristan, Kylar, and Mandy were sitting. |

As Ziggy's song comes to an end, the crowd cheers wildly, Loretta Steel politely claps. Even Cordelia, Felix, and Ruby take a break from their entertaining to clap. As the cheers die down, the lights dim to darkness. The sun is setting dramatically in the background, setting the sky ablaze. Ziggy knows this his cue to take his place on the right side of the stage. A hush rolls over the audience, but they all start screaming the moment the beat starts, recognizing the iconic song. Battle Concert Theme Every note is accompanied by dark red or orange lighting pulsating over the stage. The moment the beat drops, the stage is flooded in bright red light, and there's Lady Flash, rising from the floor, arms spread. She looks drop dead gorgeous in that sexy red and gold dress, the short front showing off a pair of knee high gold high heel boots, the long train blowing dramatically in the wind. "LADY FLAAASSSHH!!" "OMG LADDY!!!" the audience screams. Everyone is lighting up the sparklers Tristan had set out, filling the audience with sparkling light. It must have been quite the sight from the stage. Spot lights shine on Lady Flash on the left, Ziggy on the right, and Flash's Geodude in the middle, one rocky hand on his Tympole headphones, another working the synthboard. She gives Ziggy a deadly smile. They both throw their Pokeballs into the center of the stage in unison. #Post your Pokemon, its speed, and yours! #This is a Cool Battle Contest.
