"Oh, also... Jon?" Tristan asks the chef. "Do you still have those eggs in the warmer? How are they looking?" |

Jonathan almost forgot that they were there. He goes into his bag and pulls out the egg warmer. |

Kylar: You rush off to Prospect Pass ahead of the others, zipping through the familiar path of Route 2. After about an hour of traveling, you notice the scenery start to change. The path is no longer lined with orderly berry trees and fences. Instead it winds slightly through the growing hills, smattered with coniferous trees and shrubs, growing more wild looking as your near the looming mountain range in the distance. You're surprised when you suddenly hear the sound of rushing water as you turn one corner, and quickly see the large hydroelectric dam in front of you. The forest must have insulated the sound. The Okanaga river is huge at this part, but Route 2 seamlessly merges with the top of the dam, allowing visitors to peer off the side. It's still early so the dam isn't crowded, but there are a couple of trainers lingering around. You notice a large sign indicating that Prospect Pass is nearby. #Perception check, unless you're just going to plow forward to Prospect Pass, in which case give me a Perception check there Tristan, Jonathan, Ziggy As you near the junction of Route 2 and Route 3, Jonathan gets out the egg warmer to see how they're doing. You can immediately tell they feel very warm to the touch, and if you watch closely you can even see them shaking a bit. They're not quite ready to hatch, but it'll probably happen very soon. During your short break, Tristan notices an interesting looking vine winding around one of the Oran berry trees. The vine is dotted with tiny yellow flowers, and some tendrils stretch out into the air, searching for a new branch to grab onto. You're able to easily cut off a tendril for a sample. As Ziggy plays his tune while you wait, a hiker walks by and leaves 200 Pokeyen at Ziggy's feet. Once you continue strolling down Route 2, you notice the orderly berry trees and fences are gradually replaced with wilderness. Large coniferous trees tower above you, and the route winds through increasingly hilly terrain as you near the looming mountains in the distance. A handful of trainers are starting to congregate around the dam as the day goes on. You notice a large sign indicating that Prospect Pass is nearby. #Perception checks from everyone please. Kylar beat you here so you're arriving after him. Unless he decides to stick around, you can assume he's moved on. |

Kylar: When you arrive at Prospect Pass, you're focused on your assignment. You see a tall, sturdy looking black man in a red Ranger's uniform standing by the cavernous entrance to the pass, arms folded. The giant entrance looks huge when compared to a human, but when you take it all in, it looks tiny compared to the giant mountain it's carved out of. The man spots your uniform and waves you over. "I commend you for arriving so quickly! You're the second one here. Lt. Morro," he says, crushing your hand in a firm handshake. "What's your name, ensign?" #Head to the Prospect pass thread whenever you go inside it. Technically outside it is still part of Route 2 Edited by Jennifurret, Jul 23 2014, 09:36 AM.

Tristan presses the vine and flower cutting into his journal, allowing it to dry properly. #If you want it Education (General): [result]18&6:3:3:3,4d6,3,18&4d6+3[/result] When they arrive at the hydroelectric dam, he's quite impressed. "Wow, this is pretty cool. I've never seen anything quite like it," he says while taking a look around. Perception: [result]18&5:5:5,3d6,3,18&3d6+3[/result] "Hey guys, I'm going to go ask that group of trainers over there if any of them have seen the Geodudettes. Hopefully, I can return their Golem to them. They must be worried sick." #Not sure how you wanted me to handle having Golem with me. I'm assuming I can't use it, and if I need to put one in the PC to account for it, then Vivillon will be the one to go. Walking up to the gathering group, Tristan releases Golem from his Pokeball. "Excuse me folks, have any of you seen a group of musicians named the Geodudettes come through here recently? I'm looking to return their missing Golem. He got stolen by some poachers yesterday, and has been missing them pretty badly." Charm: [result]12&5:1:3,3d6,3,12&3d6+3[/result] |

Tristan: The dam is quite impressive. The northern half of the river flows vigorously, though there are some shallow pools and eddies along the side that are more calm, with lily pads floating on top. Near you is a young couple standing by one of the pools, with a toddler peering in excitedly and yelling something about Pokemon. There's a trainer on the other side of the river also searching through these pools, though he looks a little more serious than the toddler. There's quite a drop to the river on the southern half of the dam, the giant waterfalls generating electricity. It's a spectacular sight, and a handful of trainers are peering over their edge and taking photos. As you start to approach the trainers, you notice something odd on either side of the dam that the trainers are also photographing. They look like stairs with water rushing over them...and as you stare a little longer, you notice fish Pokemon with a red stripe swimming up the steps against the current. Your Pokedex dings, "Basculin, the Hostile Pokemon. Red- and blue-striped Basculin are very violent and always fighting. They are also remarkably tasty."
All the trainers turn to look at the mighty Golem, but only one steps forward - a trainer in his early 20s, stubbly and wearing a green baseball cap. "Yeah, I saw the Geodudettes this morning as I came through the pass. They were waiting outside with a Ranger and some other trainers who had their Pokemon stolen. That's awesome that you found their Golem!" Edited by Jennifurret, Jul 23 2014, 11:56 AM.

"It wasn't easy, believe me. Thanks for letting me know where they went, though. My name is Tristan MacNair if you happen to see them before I do," he says with a sigh. "Nice to meet you, all the same." Tristan recalls Golem while looking over the area again, and decides the lily ponds seem interesting... he was never really that into fish-like Pokemon. Walking over toward the couple and the toddler now with only Barnaby and Bella at his side, he greets them. "Hi there! What's the little one up to there? Something special about these ponds, is there?" he asks with a smile. Charm: [result]15&5:2:5,3d6,3,15&3d6+3[/result] |

Tristan: The scruffy trainer tips his hat to you. "Name's Chris." He turns back to the waterfall, staring over the edge. As you approach the young couple, the wife turns to you and smiles. "Oh, little Conner loves looking for Pokemon. Did you find something, Conner?" The toddler turns to you and his mom with a huge smile and giggles, awkwardly balancing on his little toddler legs. "Pokyman!" he yells, pointing at the lily pad. He dips a tiny hand into the water and lightly splashes at one of the lily pads. The pad bobs in the rippling water, until it lifts slightly and you spot a little head. Your Pokedex bings, "Lotad, the Water Weed Pokemon. This Pokémon lives in ponds with clean water. It is known to ferry small Pokémon across ponds by carrying them on the broad leaf on its head." |
