The Fearow manages to dodge the seeds and land the peck, but he's hit unaware by the stun store. "ROOWWW!!!" His long neck whips his head to face Felix, as you position yourself defensively between the bird and the Cottonee. Fearow new speed: 9 |

"It's weakened from the paralysis, Felix! Tie it up tight with a String Shot!" Felix sprayed forth a long line of silk, wrapping it in circles around the paralyzed Fearow. String Shot AC(3): [result]12&12,1d20,0,12&1d20[/result]+3 Effect: Targets have their Speed CS lowered by -1. If this lowers their Speed CS to -6, or if their Speed CS was already at -6, the target is instead Stuck. |

Felix falters under the super effective attack, but manages to stay airborne. "Come on, buddy! You've almost got it! One more String Shot should tie it up! Just stay out of reach!" String Shot AC(2): [result]19&19,1d20,0,19&1d20[/result]+3 Effect: Targets have their Speed CS lowered by -1. If this lowers their Speed CS to -6, or if their Speed CS was already at -6, the target is instead Stuck. Grants Threaded #Fearow should be Stuck, provided this hits. -4 from Paralysis, -2 from String shot. As long as Felix stays out of reach, Fearow won't be able to use any Melee moves. |

Tristan backs away from the Stuck Fearow, gesturing to Felix and Cottonee to move back. He throws one of Jonathan's custom balls, hoping to get this over with. Birds weren't really his thing, but maybe he could trade it for something more interesting. Besides, if it didn't get caught, they could run away down the corridor. Great Ball: [result]61&61,1d100,0,61&1d100[/result]-10 (not included) #FYI this was not my plan going in, but I realized that this was a cool tactic hehehe |

The Fearow crashes to the ground, unable to fly or move. As your Pokeball is about to connect, the bird shimmers and the ball goes straight through. The bird continues to ripple and sparkle, until it disappears before your very eyes. "That is enough," says a calming, mysterious voice. You look all around you, but can't find a source of the sound. "You have proven to be a kind hearted individual by defending Cottonee from the beast. She will show you the way." The gate starts to glow a bright white, and the Cottonee, now seemingly perfectly fine and cheery, makes its way through the arch. It looks back at you, waiting for you to follow. |

Stunned for a moment, Tristan walks over and picks up his Pokeball, which didn't actually make contact with anything. Then he looks to Cottonee, who appears to be beckoning him. "Wow... fairies are something else all together, huh?" he said to no one in particular. It seemed like Felix agreed with him. Bracing himself, he made sure that his pompadour was flawless and there wasn't a speck of dirt on his outfit. Well, disregarding the stains from the beehive incident earlier. And then he walked through the gate, Flabebe and Cottonee at his sides. |

The Cottonee drifts in front of you lazily, like a cottonwood puff lost in the wind, leading you down the narrow path. You can't see much since either side is a tall hedge, and it winds and winds. After a couple minutes of walking, the path suddenly comes to an end, opening up to a large circular grove. In front of you in the center of the grove is a ginormous, ancient looking tree dotted with thousands of light pink, round berries that give off a glow as if they've been soaked in moonlight. In front of the tree is a Pokemon that looks like the final form of Flabebe, except this one has white and pink flowers surrounding its head. "Welcome, kind stranger. I am Florges, Guardian of this grove. We do not often have visitors. Why have you come?" As she speaks, you notice a number of Flabebe and Cottonee pop their heads out of the wildflowers that surround the tree to get a better look. |

Tristan followed the Cottonee as it lazily drifted down the narrow path, winding back and forth for several minutes. He was both excited and nervous, and had gotten Cordelia out of her Pokeball for the occasion, letting her ride in the side pocket she was fond of. No way he'd let her miss this. Flabebe, who rode along on Felix's back, was smiling broadly as they gyred and gymbled through the wabe. Suddenly the path ended, and Tristan was confronted with a sight like he'd never seen before. A fantastically large and impossibly old tree stood before him, and its guardian had greeted him.
For a moment, Tristan was rendered utterly speechless. This... this was exactly why he'd come to Kadia. Beautiful flowers surrounded him in all colors, and the riot of pink and white in the tree above was simply breathtaking. This was no manicured greenhouse. This was nature in all her glory. Almost as an afterthought, he noticed that little Flabebe and Cottonee were everywhere, peeking out to see who had dared enter their grove. "I..." he began, still awestruck. "My name is Tristan. I've come from far, far away from here, from a place called Unova, all in search of beautiful plants and Pokemon we don't have where I'm from. My new friend here in Kadia," he said, motioning toward Flabebe, "little Ruby, guided me to this place after we got to know one another better through the course of the day today."He looked at Ruby, who was smiling. "And boy, wow am I glad we met. This... this place is incredible." A thought passed through Tristan's head, and he looked stricken. He hadn't brought an offering. In the excitement, he didn't even think about it. But--but wait... he realized. He did have something, after all. "I don't have much to offer you in thanks for allowing me to visit you here in your beautiful home," he began. "But I believe you'll appreciate this gift at least as a symbol." Tristan sat his bags down gingerly on the grass, and pulled out his Portable Grower. Inside, the Chesto Berry plant was yielding fruit again; its second day of maturity. "I planted this bush in Unova, and cared for it all the way here on my trip to Kadia as a symbol of a new start. New growth. New life. An awakening." A pause, as Tristan looked over the carefully manicured Chesto Berry plant. Looking up, he met Florges' gaze. "And now I'd like it to be yours. I don't know if Chesto Berries are very common in this region or not, but this one's from halfway across the world--my home--so it's special to me. I hope you'll accept it into your grove as you have me." He paused, and allowed Florges to soak that in. He almost hesitated to ask the next bit. Slowly, he formed the words. "If you could find it in your heart, I would be moved if you would let me leave with a sample of the flora from here. I've... I've never seen anything like it in my life." |
