Just a couple of questions about custom moves, do moves you have customized yourself (Signature Move, Move Sync or some other feature I'm missing etc) towards the 3 TM/ Tutor move limit and is it possible to then go re-learn the original move though either reapplying the TM or Move Tutoring it back (or a few other features)? |

If memory serves, a Signature Move/Move Sync etc counts as whatever type of move it was originally modified from. So if you applied it to a natural/level-up move, it would count as such, and applying it to a TM/tutor move would still mean it counts as a tutor move. I'm not exactly sure how you would 're-learn' the original move back, but from what I understand, you would not be able to unless you completely erased the other move. For example, you could not have both Brick Break and a Fire-synched version of Brick Break on the same Pokemon, because those are both the same move "Brick Break". |

To be fair Signature Move renames the move completely if that means anything, main interest is so I can have a physical and special version of the same move, though I'm sure I can find other uses (Especially with climatology and shifted weather or Field ranged moves) As for relearning moves Mentor does it for 1/2 TP and Underdog can do it on a level/5 as long as the move exists on the Final Evolutions move list Edited by Turneround360, Jun 9 2014, 03:57 PM.

Moves modified by those Features count as the same kind of Move they were before. You cannot have multiple versions of the same Move on a moveset, even if some are modified; the renaming is largely for flavor. If the Move is forgotten entirely, then you can reteach the original, unmodified version of the Move. |

So you can't even have sketch multiple times? |

We'll add in an exception clause for Sketch, because you are intended to be able to have that multiple times. |

I believe the same would apply to Hidden Power, but that's only for Unown. |

that exception is already included, and only applies to letter pressed Unown. |
