This is Rollout: Spoiler: click to toggle and this is Pass: Spoiler: click to toggle Let's start with the Pass keyword. It's description states "At any point during a shift, the user may declare a move with the Pass keyword. Once the move is declared, the user may move forward only in a straight line, for up to 4 meters". Does this mean that the pokemon can exceed their usual overland movement with this type of moves? I understand that if my pokemon has overland 3, moving 2 squares and declaring Rollout - or any other move with this keyword - grants 4 movements in a straight line. Am I correct? Now concerning Rollout and keeping in mind the pass keyword... when it says "The user continues to use Rollout on each of its turns until they miss any target with Rollout or are not able to hit any target with rollout during their turn". I have a problem in the second part of the effect. Does it mean that if the pokemon starts it's turn and nobody can be attacked, it can just choose any other move or action in that same turn? or is it supposed to shift, use "rollout" against nobody - and therefore missing? Also, when looking for eligible targets for the next rows of rollout after the first one, is the pass keyword taken into account? |

i'm no authority, but i would guess that the "up to" phrase in pass means that the user moves up to 4 meters if it's overland/surface/sky allows for it. As for rollout, i don't know. |

You continue to use Rollout until you're not able to hit anyone with it. Thus, if you can't hit anyone with Rollout, you're not using Rollout anymore, and can use another Move. And Pass doesn't grant any extra movement. It's sorta kinda worded like it would, but drag0ncreator's right, in that you're still limited by your actual Movement capability. |

Rollout is worded in a way that makes me think, by RAW, you'd be forced to attack your allies if they were there but no enemies were. |

...you know by RAW I think you're right. I've never seen it done that way, but the way it's written does kind of imply it. Edit: Not that I think it's intended at all. Edited by Anonyman, Jun 6 2014, 09:38 AM.
