I've been challenged to draft rules for some additional rotom forms (like trash-compactor Elec/Poison Rotom and talking-furby-doll Elec/Fairy Rotom) and was anyone else had done any work with this. I'll be sure to add my drafts when finished. |

Page 56 of Do Porygon Dream of Mareep? has some ideas. I need to write down Abilities and also add the Fairy Type (just had too much to do for 1.04 and a few things slipped through), but it's a good start. |

If you have a theme park you could have an animatronic Abraham Lincoln or something for an Electric/Fighting type. Electric/Steel could be something like a monster truck, paper shredder, or robot dinosaur (sorry saw transformers ad while I was writing this). I personally had one control different rides and attractions at a mall of america stand-in for a gym battle. Mostly steel, fighting, and fire types.

Thanks! I haven't read the supplement books (GM wanted a vanilla game for our first setting) but this the base line I am looking for. |

(If you're in my campaign, please don't read this post!) I've been thinking of having my players get called back to the lab a little ways into the campaign because something's making everything go haywire. At first they can't figure out what's going on, it's just like someone's hacking the system: the screens are going nuts and the transfer system isn't working. It'll turn out that there's a particularly interesting Rotom that I think my Engineer PC will be interested in: Rotom seem like they'd make good characters in a game. I'm thinking of statting stuff like an Oven Rotom (based on Microwave), Cieling Fan Rotom (fan), Backup Generator (Electric-Electric), Lamp Rotom, and Server Rotom (Steel-Type boss), and also figring out what it'd be like if Rotom was controlling stuff without posessing it. It's a mini-boss and a special-interest pokemon, so it's gonna be as tough as whatever Pokemon they use and it's gonna be decked out with a bunch of servers by the time they have a chance to catch it. Any thoughts? |

This probably isn't quite what you're looking for, but have you looked at the Claydol encounter at the end of Do Porygon Dream of Mareep? I think it's a good example of what you can do with a Pokémon that's controlling a variety of machines in a battle, though it will obviously take some adapting for your Rotom scenario. |

Oh thanks! I'll have to remember this when I get to that part of the campaign. It's a couple gyms in, so it's on the backburner, but I do think ny Mechanist will enjoy a particularly posession-happy Rotom to go with his Magnemite... EDIT: moreover, he hasn't followed Pokemon too much since generation 3, so he might not know what Rotom is, but I'm sure he'll love it as much as I do. He likes Magnemite and Gastly...
