Theme music is now mandatory The bottom of the stairs has another turnstile, after which there are a few benches and... a booth? Lights hanging from the ceiling, the booths, and the raised platform in this small cavelike room suggest this place once housed some kind of railway. A train, a subway... whatever was here, it's not anymore. Despite the age, the technology of turnstiles and railways seems pretty advanced, and the station itself is tidy as can be. How frighteningly modern. This small service station is the only place down here in visible light; the only other exits in this room are the tunnels which have rails running through them, and they're both shrouded in darkness. |

Merchant nods at Stefan and the Behemoth 'lockpick'. Climbing in through the hole in the wall, Merchant searches through the booth, looking papers to see what he could make of the history of the place. And, of course, for valuables that might have been left over. After that he turns his attention to the door and attempts to open it. The girl giggled like one expects small girls to do. "How odd!" She wanders over, to see what the two men are up to. "You can call me Amy Chan. It's short for Amethyst! Amethysts are pretty." Waiting for the Merchant to do whatever he was doing in there, and not really having anything to contribute at the moment, Amy considers the list of pokemon. The tunnel entrance doesn't seem to have any elements of Dark associated with it. It's just... magic? From what can be discerned, there's no reason why the loop should be happening. Merchant finds a few papers, blueprints depicting a steam train, presumably the ones that went on the tracks, as well as schedules written in foreign languages. Two golden tokens are on the desk, presumably for the turnstile. When he tries working the knob, he notices something weird: the door is painted on. There's no actual door. |

"Either of you decent at ancient translations?" Merchant places the schedules in front of him and looks carefully at them. He pockets one of the coins and flips the other to Stefan. <Occult is the base roll according to Tiro for translating.> [result]12&6,1d6,6,12&1d6+6[/result] +AP |

Occult Roll: [result]4&3,1d6,1,4&1d6+1[/result] Stefan shakes his head vigorously, moving closer to his myrmidon in his unease. "I don't deal with anything I can't touch. Hell, even my ghost pokemon have to be something I can wrap my hands around." |

"I am! But, if the language came and went while I was sleeping..." Amy trailled off. She took a look at the papers. [result]18&6:1:6,3d6,5,18&3d6+5[/result] |

Merchant gets a rough estimate of what the papers say. Mostly, he gets the words "Iron", "Steam", and "Moon". Stefan can't make heads or tails of the schedule. Amy's language skills are a little better; she discerns a few phrases. "Iron Tail Schedule", "Steam-Powered Train", and "Depart Times for Moon Wharf". The times are obviously irrelevant. |

Amy shrugs, not understanding the Merchant's thoughts of importance. "It's just a train schedule for the Iron Tail, Steam-Powered and Moon Wharf runs. Will the door open?" |

Merchant waves at the door. "There is no door." Walking out, Merchant looks around at the surrounding area, looking intently for anything that seems out of place. He knew magic no better than he knew ancient languages, so perhaps it would be better to try to figure out the source of the darkness. [result]21&1:6:6:1:2,5d6,5,21&5d6+5[/result]Perception |

Stefan does not move from his place. He doesn't like this arcane location. . . . |
