Theme Music is now mandatory

One of the larger cities of the region, Saffron is the technological focal point of Kanto. Among the many smaller corporations and offices, the Silph Co. building stands tallest of all, right in the center of town, overshadowing the two gyms in its wake. While only one is of Pokemon League merit, both provide an equal challenge to daring competitors. There's also rumors of an black market of illicit technology, an underground Silicon Valley...

Merchant hesitates. This technology drastically changed could drastically challenge the world, and almost certainly for the negative this early. It would defeat the purpose for much of what he's doing...

Merchant writes out the blueprint for the hand-held Revitalization machine. Technically this was the only 'blueprint', the rest was advanced cloning tech that couldn't be reproduced right now. Without the process to fossilize tissues, this should hopefully just cause superficial changes to the world...

He wraps up the blueprint.

"Merchant will accept this deal. What are to be done with the four Pokemon?"

The clerk takes the blueprint, and passes off a contract to Merchant. "You may keep them, unless you wish to donate them to us. We've analyzed them thoroughly, but we would be more than happy to keep them as a donation."

Merchant takes the balls.

No need to donate them if it wasn't required. Not like 'good will' with these people would help him much.

Merchant reads the contract, analyzing the fine print to ensure no hidden clauses were in the contract.

Once signed, he passes it back, waiting for the cannon and cash.

The contract satisfying, Merchant is handed a large box with the Silph Co. logo on it. Some assembly required, apparently.

The secretary files away the contract and blueprints. "Thank you for doing business with Silph Co. We hope to see you again." Forced.

Merchant takes the cannon and leaves, heading straight for the Center. Time to heal up and see whats here to trade.

He sits at one of the Pokemon Center benches, assembling his cannon as he listens to who's trading what.

Merchant scopes out some gym trainers that happen into the center late at night... for trade, he finds a Bronzor and a Drowzee. These trainers think highly of their choice of type, though; it will be a little hard to convince them that something is better.

Merchant doesn't bother with either. Bronzor wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth the effort.

Instead, he heads back to the fighting Gym. A little more training wouldn't hurt. And the more techniques he got on film, the better.

However, before he parts, he stops by the computer, typing out an email to Stefen.

Sales successful. Flash Cannon TM found, but no Aron Eviolite, so standard 5% fee deducted.
Merchant has wired proceeds of the sales, minus cost of TM and finders fee. TM will be delivered tomorrow when Merchant returns.

Added is the full ledger of transactions of each sold pokemon, adding up to 8905, with 445 withheld for finders fee and 2700 withheld for the TM cost, giving a net amount of 5760, and a contractual promise to pass on the TM the next day.

The email is sent, and Merchant heads back to the gym.

The Karate King is seated on the ground, with the same burly fighters surrounding him. They make it obvious that they don't care for Merchant.

"Fool! So you return for another fight."

"Yes. Merchant has come back to see the power of the King. Is he sufficiently prepared to fight Merchant, or does he need more time?"

Merchant is unflinching when surrounded by the fighters. Even though they could beat him into scrap metal pulp.

"Fool! If you are confident, then you will face tougher opponents." As the King speaks, two beefy fighters step up, and deploy their Pokemon, a Primape (Speed 20) and Hitmontop (Speed 11).
