Theme Music is now mandatory One of the larger cities of the region, Saffron is the technological focal point of Kanto. Among the many smaller corporations and offices, the Silph Co. building stands tallest of all, right in the center of town, overshadowing the two gyms in its wake. While only one is of Pokemon League merit, both provide an equal challenge to daring competitors. There's also rumors of an black market of illicit technology, an underground Silicon Valley... Espurr's face breaks open a little bit from the pound. Some of its inner energy comes pouring out of the slight wound, assaulting Cinccino involuntarily with a Psybeam. [result]11&11,1d20,0,11&1d20[/result] [result]31&5:5,2d10,21,31&2d10+21[/result] |

Cincinno is assaulted by more energy, and is suitably creeped out by the tiny kitten. It however is a glutton for punishment, and pounds more. Wooh. [result]18&18,1d20,0,18&1d20[/result]-1 Pounding pounding pounding [result]36&5:6,2d8,25,36&2d8+25[/result] |

Espurr's eyes roll back into its head. KO! The tournament concludes, and Merchant wins himself a nice little Dusk Stone. Fitting, since the sun has hit the horizon already. Saffron's coming up somewhat soon... |

Merchant takes his winnings and returns to his seat, satisfied having been productive on the trip. Next stop, Sylph Co. He wanted to make it there before it closed after all, and he could afford no detours. |

The Bullet Train finally docks itself, as the sun is halfway down the horizon. Silph Co. might be closing soon, so Merchant hurries along. After some gratuitous directions around the city, Merchant finds himself at the double-doors into the great Silph Co.; every ball designer's dream is to stand at the foot of this building. It's all business here; asking something of them is no joke. |

Merchant enters into the doorways without hesitation. He attempts to remember what he knows about how they do business... [result]13&2:6,2d6,5,13&2d6+5[/result]Gen Edu |

Silph Co. is much like Merchant himself: discerning, unwilling to take anything but the best offers, and they love to make a profit. They differ in one aspect, though. They don't like to barter. Typically, it's just one offer here, two if you're lucky. If the first impression is bad, the chance is they'll never listen to you again. The lobby is full of scientists and inventors, and a few receptionist desks. Ball decals are all over the place... |

Merchant walks forward to one of the receptionist desks. "Merchant is seeking info on a 'Pokeball Cannon', and wishes to trade or buy." He briefly flashes an extremely large purse, attempting to give the impression he's important. [result]22&3:1:3:6:4,5d6,5,22&5d6+5[/result] |

The receptionist's face immediately goes from friendly to critical, narrowing her eyes. "Money isn't everything." At least she seems to know what he's talking about. |

Merchant nods. "Of course not." He pulls up his sleeve, showing the portable revitalization machine, and opens a bag full to the brim of pokeballs. He picks a random one marked with a Stone symbol and opens it. A small, bewildered rock wooper appears. "Merchant is not without his own tech and research subjects. Merchant has fixed a number of these within the past few days, he knows what he is doing." [result]17&1:3:1:1:6,5d6,5,17&5d6+5[/result] Guile |
