Theme Music is now mandatory One of the larger cities of the region, Saffron is the technological focal point of Kanto. Among the many smaller corporations and offices, the Silph Co. building stands tallest of all, right in the center of town, overshadowing the two gyms in its wake. While only one is of Pokemon League merit, both provide an equal challenge to daring competitors. There's also rumors of an black market of illicit technology, an underground Silicon Valley... The Croagunk falls from the single hit. It's done. The mother recalls her Pokemon, and joins her daughter, who lost as well. The two laugh off the brutal scene that just happened. Merchant has a few minutes before the next round starts; come next round, he must use his other Pokemon. |

Merchant has no need to wait. He was impressed by the bird in the end. Perhaps if it were up for sale he would pick it up. But Merchant cares not now. He walks forward with his Grey pokeball on-hand. He tosses it out when his opponent is ready. |

Merchant deploys his Pokemon at his opponent, the young man from before. A grey pelt of fluff appears before him... a Cinccino. The young man throws his Pokemon out... Merchant immediately gets a headache, as does everyone on the train, from the purple eyes that pierce everyone's mental barriers. Espurr. (15) Before Cinccino gets a chance to move, the Espurr is in its face. Nobody knows how it got there, but it gives the rodent a slap in the face. Cincinno leans backwards, using its tails to not fall flat. It then bounces back forward, and mockingly claps at the Espurr. [result]5&5,1d20,0,5&1d20[/result] Encore [result]1&1,1d6,0,1&1d6[/result] On a result of 1 or 2, the target becomes Confused; on a result of 3 or 4 the target becomes Suppressed; on a result of 5 or 6 the target becomes Enraged. It then very bluntly socks the Espurr in the face. [result]18&18,1d20,0,18&1d20[/result] Pound [result]31&1:5,2d8,25,31&2d8+25[/result] |

Espurr doesn't look deterred at all. Aside from the big googly eyes rolling around its face. (Own Tempo) It responds by unleashing a psychic assault on Cinccino, felt by everyone, but the squirrel the hardest. Espurr limbos backward, its eye on the fist. It shifts slightly to the side, and blasts Cinccino with a cone of focused light. Flash: [result]13&13,1d20,0,13&1d20[/result] AC2 |

The two small mammalian creatures both sling attacks haphazardly, neither doing very well. Merchant jumps out of a way of a confusion, annoyed at his pokemon's ineptitude. It attempts another swing. [result]8&8,1d20,0,8&1d20[/result]-1 [result]40&8:7,2d8,25,40&2d8+25[/result] |
